After a “messed-up summer” (hospital, convalescence) in Germany, I booked a break in Bali for recreation at very short notice. The immediate location by the sea, view of the water from the bed, snorkeling “on the doorstep”, possibility to make relaxed day trips were the deciding factor in deciding on the Bali Relax resort. Communication via mail was great, quick answers, good special price was problem-free in advance. Pick-up at the airport was also possible. My expectations were exceeded- really pure relaxation in beautiful grounds- ample sunbeds, day beds overlooking the sea, beautiful bungalows, friendly staff. There was no loud music, no animation. After 3-4 steps over stones, the sea is already so deep that you can swim, so the lack of sandy beach did not bother me - but you can also snorkel as described “from now on” - there are wonderful colorful fish, very blue starfish to see. Unfortunately, the corals themselves are mostly fading/dead. I was able to accompany a diver group trip to the Manta Point as a snorkeler - certainly a highlight. All meals can be eaten directly on the water - wonderful mood. The kitchen is then also my only small criticism - goods are very fresh, lakefood in itself very delicious, but unfortunately always too blandly seasoned - even with the dishes actually stated as Indonesian (and I don't like to eat spicy). Overall, I felt very comfortable - can only recommend the stay to anyone who prefers ocean noise to a party scene.

We can really recommend this resort. Thanks to Lubo and Veronika, Filip and Vendy we spent a lovely time here, they organized diving and trips the way we wanted. We were very well taken care of at every moment, it was our first time in Asia and after the first evening any uncertainty of the unknown gone away. The room was clean and comfortable. If you go for diving ( which I recommend), this is really one of the best places in NE Bali. The dive centre is excellent and clean, which is not always the case around there and the customer is the king there and the diving experience is customized based on the diver skills and expectations. The resort has very nice house reef, the hard corals there are among the nicest ones around. On top of it, they as well have nice wreck, which is safe even for beginners. The resort itself is not the cheapest around, but you get what you pay for and definitely it is worthy. Needless to say it was nice and clean, with one exception when there was anti termite insecticide smell in the room, but easy to fix 😊. As well as the dive centre the resort is customer focused and offers big variety custom made trips all over Bali. I did not use this as I prefer solo trip with scooter, but people were quite happy coming back. This resort has definitely extra value for non-English speaking guest as you can especially for those speaking only czech as this resort has czech management and therefore it is very comfortable for this type of travelers, where many keep coming back again and again 😊. The food in the resort is ok, but I would prefer to have more of a Asian selection, as if you stay longer you can maybe feel the limits, while those czech tourist will fine decent selection of European/ czech cuisine and will not miss this aspect so much. The size of the resort is OK. You can still maintain your privacy if you wish so, while there is enough people if you prefer company. This resort is somewhat remote, which I see as benefit and it was one of the key aspect for choosing this place. If you are looking for night life and bars go elsewhere or you will need to scooter to party 😊. Overall, the resort provides as what it is called. I enjoyed my stay very much and when going back to Bali, I will consider staying there again, especially for those diving part!!

It is a very beautiful resort by the sea. The tropical garden is heavenly, the swimming pool is very pleasant and there are many places where we can sunbathe or simply relax.
It is a perfect place for divers. The diving school is professional, there are corals right in front of the hotel, you can go further (everything is organized by the hotel). The owners are Czech, we mainly meet Europeans here. A very good time in Bali.

The hotel is located by the sea at the end of a small street. There isn't really a beach, it's just pebbles and rocks. But you can do snorkeling. In front of the hotel there is a small restaurant and a small shop. That's all, Kubu is very small and very quiet, no nightlife. The Relax Bali Resort is therefore a haven of peace, cut off from the hustle and bustle and if you book a villa with a private swimming pool, you will have a huge private space. 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1 living room with kitchen (too bad there is no large refrigerator), a 5x7m swimming pool and a huge garden with a view of the ocean. The equipment and decoration could be reviewed and improved but we feel good there. The staff is smiling and friendly, contributing to the ambient serenity. Good restaurant except for breakfast, pretty average if you don't like salty food. Special mention for Luba, our diving instructor and his team, we really enjoyed the time spent together.

The photos on the site are much more attractive than in real life, we see as soon as we arrive that the hotel is very dated. The rooms are OK. As soon as we receive, we are offered a typical meal with Balinese dance. We were the only two foreigners around several groups from the Czech Republic, the food was very very average but at an exorbitant price. The buffet breakfast was of very poor quality. The dive center in Relax Bali Dive is worth of mentioning. If you like to dive, this is a good place to go. I stayed there for 2 nights to focus on diving. I did 9 dives in 2 days, so I didn't spend much time at the Resort, but during my spare time in between, experiencing the resort's service and the Spa service, I am disappointed. HOWEVER, the diving center is top knotch. The Instructor, Maja, and the Dive Master, Rivaldi, are very professional, helpful, and informative. They prioritize that I have a good diving experience and at the same time taking care of my safety. Maja, has keen eyes, he can spot many macro and big animals easily. His intuition is very sharp that he knows when something is not right, and he's always prepared for any situation and adapt quickly to the situation, such as when big currents came during the night dive. The highlight in this diving trip is the Liberty Wreck Dive, and the Night Dive. The Liberty Wreck Dive is big and beautiful. I remember spotting Barracuda, and White Tip Reef Shark. As for the Night Dive in the House Reef, we spotted Manta, Stingray, Spanish Dancer, a big Grouper and a Huge Crab.

My family booked one of the private villa with the pool in the garden. It was a really great experience at the hotel. Since it is very small it gives you the extra touch of the intimacy. Another great aspect is that Lubo and Veronica (the Management) is trying to create an individual stay for each and everyone. If it is the diving or the trips, everything will be organized for you in the way you want it. We were here for the diving, and Lobo was taking us to some really special places, everything was always prepared for us and we had a lot of fun there. My brother did his open water course there, and were able to dive with us afterwards, they always made sure that one dive guide is with my brother for security. We also booked some trips, which were really well organized. The rooms were clean. The restaurant stuff is really friendly, the food is very good, and the atmosphere next to the ocean is just breath taking. At the breakfast buffet they offer something for everyone.

We decided to go away for Christmas for the first time and it was the best holiday ever. We had accommodation in a private private villa, which was 100% cleaned every day. Pool also cleaned every day. The meal was perfect. The staff in the restaurant, in the Spa and also in the Dive center are first class. But the biggest thanks goes to Lub and Verča. Luba and I completed the Padi Open Water diving course and the whole family thanks him from the bottom of our hearts. Verča planned trips around the island for us, which were really great. We thank both of them for the wonderful time spent together and their work proves that they are in the right place... We are already looking forward to the next meeting. I can highly recommend the entire resort.

You could but it wouldn’t make much sense as you would spend most of your time in a car going somewhere. It takes forever to get around Bali even when the distance is short. I would stay somewhere else for that purpose.
Hallo Mellys, our resort is often used also by non divers. Except relaxation in our SPA we can offer you great options for trips in the surrounding area - waterfalls, volcanoes, temples, rice fields atc. and also beautifull snorkeling.
