Stayed here for 2 weeks mainly for the local diving. The resort was well presented and the cabins well set out, bathroom had both shower and "rain" effect, sleeping area large with window seating available and balcony in front which didn't feel overlooked. Dining area open design and tables looking out over the resort allowed a wonderful dining experience which coupled with the friendly and attentive staff provided one of the highlights of the trip.

VERY nice location, with great diving sites. Mostly middle-aged German guests when we were there; not suited if you are looking for a party place. Dedicated and helpful employees. We did our Open water (SSI) certification at their Diving center. Special thanks to our remarquable instructor Elsa - she is very professional and invested in training responsible divers. She has been patient, dedicated, funny and available to answer all questions. She took us to beautiful places - always focusing on improving our skills. Thank YOU !

Overall this was close to 5 stars, but not quite. On the plus side, the Oceanfront pool villa was very spacious and comfortable - the pool, the views - lovely. A few bits here and there looking a tad dated, but nothing major at all. A few minor points to improve: the pool pump cover was a bit of an eye sore and trip hazard, some nice coffee in the villa would have been appreciated.....get rid of the Nescafe sachets - horrible coffee and unecessary single use plastic which has otherwise been elimintaed from the resort which is great. A few places in resort could have done with a bit more lighting, and some of the bathroom facilities (dive centre and games room/gym area) needed updating. Food was great - quality and variety, and the special Balinese feast was fantastic and great value. We enjoyed the great range of cocktails at sunset as well. The yoga/stretch session were a great bonus. The gym was a bit limited, but nice to have something. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and the grounds kept immaculate. The dive operation was very well setup and run, and the diving good/as expected. The dive guides were v.patient and helpful. I did think some of the dives were a bit less fishy than last time I dived here....perhaps fishing activity during Covid has had some impact, or maybe it was just luck of the draw not sure, but still nice diving all the same.

This was the most luxurious place we have ever stayed. we had five nights here in two bungalows, my husband and I in one and our kids in a neighbouring bungalow. We spent our days diving, lunch and dinner in the restaurant and yoga or a swim in the evenings. the food was fantastic & the diving was amazing. The rooms were huge, beautiful and we loved the partially open air bathrooms. we had a comfy king bed and the kids had large twin beds. the airconditioning worked really well. the mini-bar costs were reasonable (£1 for a cold can of coke). The shampoo and shower gel were really nice too. we had fluffy robes, bathroom towels, sunbathing towels and swimming towels. we enjoyed a balinese massage in the spa, where they took such care with my shy daughter having her first massage, allowing us to have our massage together. We didn't attempt to walk to any warungs nearby, electing just to eat in the restaurant for lunch and dinner. the food here was expensive by indonesian standards (but cheap by any other standard) and delicious. we were able to make small changes to suit - vegetarian nasi goreng and the individual Balinese grill being the highlights. my son is less adventurous - the spagetti Bolognese and chicken schnitzel and chips were fantastic comfort food. All the staff were lovely, with susan on reception being really helpful on our final day phoning the tour company for us. if you are thinking of staying here - do it - you won't regret it!

Lovely getaway for husband to go for a dive and stumbled upon this place. Such a quiet paradise- divine bungalows and friendly staff. Happy to lunge by the pool while husband went for a dive. A while to get there but if you want to escape the maddening crowds….

This resort is perfectly located right near Tulamben in Bali, which is a great area for diving. Very close to the Liberty wreck, which is a must-do and a variety of nice coral gardens and walls as well as some decent muck diving sites. The resort itself is really gorgeous... beautiful, well-kept grounds, infinity pool, nicely appointed bungalows and the restaurant has a lovely open air design. Food in the restaurant has a wide variety and the quality is quite nice. Though I did not use the spa myself, my travel companions did and were satisfied with their treatments. There is also a Yoga studio outside facing the ocean and daily sessions were offered. So why the 3 rating? It is interesting how, when you're treated poorly, it can crush the whole vibe of your stay. The resort manager made our group feel rather unwelcome from the time we arrived (after a very long travel day) and neglected to share in advance the fact that the resort's only boat was not operating. Our trip coordinator had been in contact with the manager for over a year and in the days leading up to our stay... not a word about the boat. We were completely blind-sided and for a group of 10 divers, this wasn't great news. We all understand that these things happen but a little notice would with have made a big difference. We were told by the resort manager and the dive center manager that "there are no other boats". Well, during our stay, we saw at least 5 other boats in the area, so we knew that was not true. On top of this... the dive center manager was one of the rudest people I've come across in 30+ years of doing dive trips. He just didn't seem to want us there. He gave very poor site briefings and was insanely picky about things like towels and gear handling. I got the feeling that he just didn't like Americans - though our group was not the typical "rude/loud American" types. We were very unassuming, compliant with all rules, polite to the staff, etc. All divers in our group were very experienced - most at instructor level. On the plus side, they were able to accommodate our diving via vans and we did all shore dives. Shore diving in this area isn't particularly difficult, but you do need to walk in over a very rocky area and you need to be steady on your feet. Our dive masters were really great about helping us in and out with our gear so no complaints about them. We had 1 DM who was "just ok" about pointing things out to us and another who was amazing about this. In the end, they did make some accommodations to make up for our experience - they didn't charge us extra for the early start on the Libery wreck (we met at 6:00 a.m.), and refunded a couple who had to return home early. This kind of made up for the earlier poor treatment. So... would I recommend Siddhartha? For the resort itself - yes. Not sure I would dive with them again. One could check out a large number of dive shops in Tulamben - likely some with operating boats.

We had a fantastic stay at the resort. The staff and service was great, we enjoyed the food a lot and felt very well taken care of. The dive center which is directly located in the resort offered an amazing service. All dive guides did an amazing job to show us the beautiful underwater world. Thank you very much again for the amazing vacation.

We were in this resort for 2 nights. We booked villa Pantai and one other regular villa. The place is amazing. No noise,no pollution. Relaxing vibes all the way. Staff were helpful. Susan was kind and helpful. Dive center was bit slow in processes. But no big deal. Food were adequate and fairly priced. Hotel rooms also fairly priced. The spa was great. We are certainly looking forward to comeback.

...the insanity of those hedonistic tourist areas in South Bali and get a little peace and quiet, maybe do some work on the computer I've been putting off, and experience some things I know nothing about such as snorkeling and yoga. I did get the peace, quiet, and work done during my stay but the snorkeling and yoga... oh well, I still know nothing about them. This is a lovely small resort on Bali's northern coast which I believe is pretty much geared to diving tourism. It is a well-designed, well-maintained, and well-managed place. As you might imagine by its name, it's got a Buddhist theme going on with many different statues of my Lord Buddha peppered along its grounds - a few such decorations in my room as well (this is very meaningful to me). I definitely enjoyed my stay here (well after the first night anyway). I had a nicely decorated, spacious bungalow with a comfortable bed. I especially liked the bathroom area outside in a small, walled-off area - something naturally (I'm really struggling for a word here) transformative - maybe cleansing - about being outside taking a shower in an open space with fresh air - not indoors in a small claustrophobic porcelain room. Very nice bungalow well worth the price I paid. You know, one thing I didn't like about it was the window blinds. The bungalow is like all windows on two sides with the front being sliding glass doors - glass from the floor up. The blinds are solid wood (I believe) - beautiful but very heavy. My perpetually jacked-up, pained arm wasn't amenable to raise or even lower them so... Hey, the restaurant is very good here too. I had dinner there twice and the grilled pork with mustard sauce stands out in my memory - exceptional! I also liked that they offer half portions of their different salads. Oh yea, the tempeh salad was quite tasty as well. Breakfast was a fairly basic affair with a few items. I guess I'm a bit limited when it comes to breakfast as I don't eat eggs. I do like the bread they have though. Come to think of it, the homemade (I believe) yogurt was quite good. What else can I tell you about this place: location deserves a mention. On one hand, it's amazing being on the ocean with the sensational view of the water, especially when one is cooling off in their beautiful infinity pool. And I also somewhat remember seeing a good view of that epic volcano in the opposite direction once. Now on the other hand, it is on the edge of Kubu, a small town with really no restaurants to speak of or anything else on offer to see or do. You know, I don't really care eat in the same restaurant three times every day, day after day. That's not any comment on the restaurant here, I just like variety. I actually walked to Tulamben and back (3½ km each way) a couples times where there is a little more going on than in Kubu. On the way back one time, some jerk driving a car swiped my arm with his side view mirror and then had the gall to chastise me about walking on the road. I hope he can't fix his mirror so it costs him a lot of money to replace it. Glad it wasn't my bad arm he hit. So back to the resort: Barbara is an on-site owner who I saw a few times during my stay. She seems to be a professional, hands-on leader who works with her staff and checks-up on her guests regularly. I found her to be a very nice person the few times we talked. I bet her no one on her staff told her about that first night's problem I alluded to earlier because I'm sure she would have said something to me about it if they had. The air conditioner in my bungalow went out. Not that it was hot in the room as their is a ceiling fan that keeps the place quite cool, it's just that it started beeping incessantly at around 4 am, and I couldn't stop it with the remote or even unplug because it's so high up. I didn't get a good night's sleep that night which I think is the most basic and important function for a hotel to provide its guests. I went to the front desk soon after it opened at 7 am and the problem was fixed expeditiously, but it still threw me off the whole day. I'm sure Barbara would have said something to me if she knew about it. Whatever, I've always had problems with sleep my whole life anyway.
