My family and I were seasonal campers at Hemlock Hills from July 2000 until October 2006. Back then two sets of owners had problems with the running of the campground. But a cooperative, which had been part of the camp took it over three plus years ago and have turned it around. My seasonal site was right on the pond...

We only stayed for one night and the attraction for us was that it was not a resort. Our accommodation was a 30' RV and we were happy to be parked up in the woods. The staff was friendly and relaxed and there were lots of little kids getting into an early Halloween spirit. Bathrooms were clean and the nearby...

This campground is really an association of seasonal campers with about 4 or 5 "campsites" available to the public. The sites are very small (there's a reason their website doesn't feature any photos of any of the sites) and this place needs a ton of money thrown at it to bring it up to anything close to a standard campground....

We stayed here over Memorial Day weekend, Friday through Monday, and chose it so no one had to drive too far to get together for the weekend (two of our kids live in Newport RI and Longmeadow MA, while we were coming from Hyde Park NY). I'll start with the positives - everyone, even the little kids were very friendly....

We live in Thomaston and were concerned that Hemlock Hills being only 20 min away that it wouldn't really feel like being away. We were pleasantly surprised. We loved our week there. My husband and 3 kids want to become seasonal now. You couldn't ask for a more family oriented campground. They aren't jam packed with activities (weekends they are,...

This campground is going places! Pools are beautiful and well kept. Kids playground is THE best I've seen. They are making new sites and everything seems sopositive. People are welcoming and friendly. I understand there were prior problems with management, but we have only seen what the new management has done. Season is almost over, but we'll be there next...

We were just there for a long weekend with the kids. Everyone had a fun time!! The pool area was very nice. The kids loved the playground also. We brought our bikes and were able to ride around the whole place although the "streets" were a little rocky for the kids. They still enjoyed it though. We did a couple...

Pros: Pool, hot tub, washrooms Cons: dirt campsites instead of grass Well it sounds as though this campground has had many problems in the past. Seeing that this is the one and only time I've been here I am not going to attempt to comment on the supposed feud. Unlike many of the reviews posted, I don't have many negative...

New Management has turned this campground from dumpy to delightful! This campground has pulled a 180 under the new management. They have made so many improvements in the short time they have taken over with so many more plans for next year. I am excited to see all the changes to come. The people are friendly. They take pride in...

“Some paths/dirt roads are a little more rough than others - it will depend upon your vehicle if you can make steep climbs, turns, etc, There are many nice sites all around the campground - something will surely be "a-ok" with you here!”
