Sleeping in a tent with views of the Tamar river at your front door is exceptional. Glamping in a tent with a bath in the open but private and other amenities in an adjoining tent is novel and fun. With a Weber bbq and all the implements at hand, the only thing missing is your food of choice, or eat out at several local restaurants. The owners are very friendly and helpful with advise on what to do or where to go. A glass of wine around your own campfire relaxing after a full day is bliss. Totally recommend the Glamping experience.
I love staying in non-traditional accommodation and this was amazing, you have everything, the bed was very comfy. It is very quiet. When we cooked a BBQ for dinner the possums were looking around for food so definitely don't leave food sitting around. This was a fun experience and I would do it again.
Definite must do. Great scenery and wildlife. Gorgeous fire Pit. The tents are so well decked out and gorgeous a lot of thought has gone into it. Very peaceful and hosts were great such a great experience
We spent two nights over the New Year at Wingtons Glamping and cannot wait to return. The location is lovely on the river; close to vineyards for tastings; Graham was fantastic and everything has been thought of to make your stay relaxing. Wecould not fault a thing. I could go on and on but why not book and experience it for yourself. It really is like heading off on a 1930’s grand tour!
Such a beautiful experience! The host was lovely and it’s obvious the extra effort that’s put in to make everything seem less and relaxing. Extra appreciation for the tidiness and cleanliness of the space as well. Thanks again Graham we will definitely be returning!
We loved our recent stay at Wingtons. It was so much fun to stay in such a beautiful, comfortable safari tent. Everything we needed was provided. The bed was comfortable and warm, the little pot belly stove made the tent cosy and we loved our private fire pit. We can thoroughly recommend this as a unique and elegant form of accommodation.
This place never gets old. We have been twice and loved it on both occasions. The presentation of the campsites is stunning and you really feel like you are away from all the troubles of the world. Every small detail has been thought of from a deck of cards, a USB port to charge your phone or additional blankets for those extra cold nights. They even have WiFi!! We are so excited to return again in the near future!
had an amazing weekend in the middle of winter. The tents were immaculate and so well presented. Everything we needed was all set up ready for us. Sat around a camp fire one night and listened to the rain on the tent roof the other night. Can not wait to go back already
We so enjoyed being in our cosy well appointed tent. Even on a day of persistent rain we had a great time. The little combustion fire in the tent to keep us warm and snuggly yet we could have the tent flaps open to the beautiful Tamar river. So quiet and private. Graham made us very welcome and his information on the email was great. Watch our for the brazen possums and pack lightly to get down to the tents. No suitcases. We still have so much we could come back to do here. Or in winter just to enjoy this beautiful space. Thanks
Wonderful way to celebrate my birthday with our son and his partner. We all loved the experience - definitely the highlight of our mini holiday. So many thoughtful 'glamping' touches that made it all such fun. Thankyou, Graham, for your pre-visit information and tips, your friendly welcome and all the little extras. We had a ball! Ruth
