We had a fantastic meal using a Travelzoo voucher so was excellent value. The hotel has loads of character and is a beautiful environment in which to relax and enjoy. We have afternoon tea booked in near future and I'm really looking forward to another lovely experience. The staff are mainly new as hotel has been refurbished but were all...

This inn is really intended for the people who love older buildings, it is georgeously olde worlde right from the entrance/reception. Booking in went very well as all our paperwork was all ready for us and even although we were about one and half hours early we still got our room key. A very jolly fellow at the desk had...

We stayed here with secret escapes offer. The reception staff were very welcoming and friendly. Our classic room was in one of the buildings behind the hotel. The bedroom was a good size, spotlessly clean - just a bit hot and stuffy at night. We had to leave early this morning before breakfast was served but the staff were most...

Stayed here last year February with my partner, was very happy with the room! The bathroom was spacious too, however the shower was very leaky. A lovely cosy feel to it, am going back here on Friday! Cannot wait for another stay, hopefully a better experience with the bathroom this time. Would definitely recommend.

We went for dinner. Staff not welcoming, dining room sterile, no atmosphere. Service was slow to put it mildly (there were 3 waiting staff on for 3 tables!). For a restaurant which bills itself as having a star chef, food was not good. Pork fatty, fish and chips greasy, all food not very warm. We had thought that the restaurant...

Wife and I stayed here after a function. We were in a room above reception. Big room/bathroom and clean and comfortable. Great breakfast. Only marked down because of damp damage in the room and could do with a make up/shaving mirror. Staff were helpful and made us feel at home. Parking on site could be a problem..we got there late...

This a nice hotel, oldy worldy, great value for the rooms and worth checking with them direct for best price. we had a twin room, decent size with a nice bathroom. few niggly things such as the tv was positioned for mainly one person to watch it full on. the shower head was too heavy for the shower and kept...
