I stayed here for 2 nights to attend a business 2 day workshop. Conference facilities were excellent, food was great and the service superb. It is quite remote but not really too unrealistic to travel to in relation to Sydney CBD. The only slight negative was that the accommodation was somewhat dated but the bathrooms had been recently renovated. Overall a great place to hold team building sessions/workshops.

The age of this establishment was accentuated when we experienced a serious electrical fault throughout the facility for a number of hours. The concept is first class and the gardens are wonderful but is tired when considering the rooms and fittings throughout. The service was very good during our week long stay but thought the smorgasbord meals provided for our 50 plus group became very boring from day 3 onward.

The service was extremely good; however, the rooms are in need of a serious update. Everything in the rooms worked ok but the furniture and fixtures were really outdated. Gardens and surrounding areas were really pretty!

The premise is located within an hour of the CBD and a nice drive along the north coast. Generally has a nice outlook over bush gardens. Great dining with wonderful food.

However the accommodation is very basic. It's not a hotel and therefore some niceties are missing (eg room fridge). But it's the age of the place that lets it down. Bathrooms with peeling paint. Tiles that ate worn. Windows that are scuffed. Having said that, the beds themselves were very comfortable.

The training facilities themselves were simply below par. Squashed in the main room, with a projector that stopped working during the presentation.

The concept is good, but it needs to be properly refurbished to meet expectations. Not what it says on the internet. Not premier at all.

Booked this as a stop-over whilst doing a road trip down the East coast of Australia (we had a tour to go on the next day). This is not a Hotel per se, but a Conference & training venue which rents it's rooms out when they have no function on. Hence, there is no eating place on site (although they do a fairly decent continental spread for Breakfast), We had to order a Pizza to be delivered as we arrived about 1930 Hours. That being said, the rooms are very nice, The location although not near any Shops or restaurants without getting back in your car, is very pretty and tranquil. The rooms especially are of a high standard and the bed VERY comfortable. The staff on duty were incredibly helpful, and I would happily stay here again, even taking into consideration it's not really a Hotel.

I have spent two consecutive weekends here for training sessions. It is not a 5 star resort, don't expect that. But for what it is, it is very good.

Pros:
-Extremely friendly, helpful and responsive staff.
-Buffet food is excellent. Some of, if not the best food I have had at a conference. (Thanks Eugene and team.)
-Conference rooms good and spacious, comfy chairs, moveable whiteboards / screens.
-Great area for hanging out in the evenings after sessions, bar available, pool table, ping pong tables. Great fun can (and did) happen.
-Outdoor area very nice and walkable.
-New fly screens in all the rooms.
-Nice tea / coffee area if you wake up early and want a good cuppa.

Cons:
-Rooms do need a bit of freshening. They are very functional but not superb. (The bathroom I had was huge though, so that was nice...)

I didn't spend much time in my sleeping room, so the con didn't take much away from all of the positives. I am looking forward to attending this facility again.
