Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Blown away by how stunning this place is. Nestled in a leafy valley, everything about the place makes you unwind. The ‘French Room’ we stayed in was lovely, large shower, spotless & comfortable rooms with a small fridge too. Lesley the host is fabulous, very friendly & down to earth and you can tell she loves the place as much as the guests, with the numerous little ‘attention to details’ throughout. Peace, privacy & stunning surroundings.. will definitely return!

Fabulous relaxed setting. Bedding is fresh and room is clean. Food is fabulous! Slice of Heaven in the hills! Spent 2 days in the spa and resting in the day bed. Enjoyed an outdoor hike and visiting the boutique vineyards too.

My husband and I stayed at Bickley Valley Retreat last night for our wedding anniversary and we were pleasantly surprised by this little gem we found!

Lesley our host, showed us to our room after navigating the VERY steep drive way and parking our car. The room was lovely, done in a tasteful French provincial style without the over the top decorations I've seen elsewhere. Best of all was the lovely Jacuzzi on the deck in front of the room and the beautiful bush outlook from two sides of the room. Kookaburras, black cockatoos and an array of tiny finches and other birds entertained us, while sitting back on the deck with a glass of wine.

Loved everything about this place! Peaceful, tranquil, clean, private and comfortable. Why people like staying in hotel rooms in big hotels I don't know!

The bathroom was modern and bright, with a huge shower and lovely thick towels!

Breakfast the next day was lovely. Lesley asked us what time we'd like breakfast and when we walked into the lounge room, the table was already set, coffee was brewing and a lovely fresh fruit salad was waiting for us. After a well needed fully cooked breakfast and great conversations with the other couple staying in the other room, we headed back to our room then packed up and left.

We will definitely be coming back to this little paradise and everything that it has to offer.

Beautiful location not far from Perth, though when you're sitting in the spa looking at the trees you feel like you're a million miles away. Very nicely appointed rooms with an equally lovely communal area. Was fun to watch the galas eating their seeds for breakfast as we were eating our delicious cooked breakfasts. Yum!! Be sure to stay more than one night so you get one of Lesley's scrumptious platters and a complimentary bottle of wine.

Stayed here for one night...what a lovely little escape! Could not fault a thing! Lesley was so helpful and welcoming. The room and spa was fantastic and very clean. Location is great - really close to Core Cider House and several other wineries and restaurants. Ordered a local pizza for dinner - highly recommended!
Wish we could have stayed longer...will definitely be back soon.

Hubby & I had a stay on Friday night - in the French Room....and it was AMAZING. Leslie & Peter were so lovely and made us feel very welcome. I can't recommend this highly enough - Great for a Romantic escape or charge to recharge your batteries...Lesley went above and beyond with a delicious breakfast - and couldn't do enough for us....Lovely spa on the deck whilst overlooking the bush....HIGHLY RECOMMEND and cannot wait to go back......

This is the second time we stayed at Bickley Valley Retreat and it was just as good as the first time. Relaxing in the spa and in the hammock looking at the trees and birds is so good for the soul. Breakfast was lovely and all in all, we had a very pleasant stay.

A birthday present from Hubby. Excellent. Leslie, the host booked an excellent a masseur to come out to the retreat and I had an excellent massage with masseur pointing out areas that needed work on my body. The French room with adjoining spa was excellent and breakfast divine. One can relax all day there or go into the local towns for the day. There are many places to eat, walk, wineries and shops which are not too far away. One can even call for a pizza/kebab to be delivered to the retreat. Many birds during the morning and horses can be heard from a nearby property. Need a car to get to the retreat. Had a great time. Australian bush at its best. French room more private than Bali Room. Both have spas and access to separate day lounges at the back of the property. Large lounge room for guests to use.

A lucky day when a Facebook Post popped up on my page.

I'd been looking for a place near Midland to accommodate my friends from The Netherlands.

Beautiful, spacious 3 bedroom cottage overlooking a valley.

Host Petra was very gracious and accommodating.

Lovely place, host, and a delicious breakfast.

Due to an early medical appointment I wasn't able to stay with my friends...but plan to rectify that with a 'girls getaway' one day soon.

Definitely recommend this place!
