Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We travelled here for Easter as it was the only park that was pet friendly in the peak season.
It is on the Surf Coast Hwy, you do hear a bit of traffic noise, but it is a great location for using it at a base and doing the touristy things. Close to Geelong, Torquay, Queenscliffe and Great Ocean Road.
Has a great pool and jumping trampoline & games room for kids.
The Hop Inn Bistro is right next door for meals and a drive through coffee place.
Coles is less than a km down the road if you need supplies.

The park only has powered sites with Ensuites, GREAT if you prefer that kind of option....we certainly do.
Sites are spacious. Has a few permanents but they are all kept together and keep to themselves.
Surrounded by farms, so it is a good stay overall.

We had a night booked on a camp site and we're happily surprised to find all sites have ensuite bathrooms. My initial impression of the park was that had seen better days but the lady in reception was lovely, friendly and helpful.
Then we moved to a cabin as we were leaving very early in the morning for the SOT. We were allowed to check in early which was appreciated and we're very pleased to find the cabin was immaculate. It's simple but spotless and obviously well maintained.
Highly recommend the cabins.

We booked in to an unpowered camp site with ensuite. 2 Adults and 1 Child.
Great rates for the site, ensuite was clean and neat, but very old and in need of some maintenance. Hot Water Service had not been turned on prior to our arrival which was frustrating, and took a few hours to warm up.
Very neat sight, mowed and maintained. Lovely service from the office, we would stay here again.
Pool, Small Playground, Jumping Pillow, Camp Kitchen and Games Room all a bonus for camper trailer patrons.

We booked an ensuite site and requested a grassier site if possible. The site was a dust bowl with a concrete slab in the middle, not at all convenient for a tent. The site across from us had grass and a hi ace van pulled on to the concrete slab. So clearly requests aren't even considered.

The ensuite was terrible.. very old, mould around the taps and on the towel holders. The skylight was covered in mould and grim.

We set up the best we could, then took our tent down as it wasnt going to work and went elsewhere.

This caravan park is a dump. If you're thinking of booking, DON'T!

The only reason I gave 2 stars was because the lady at the counter was welcoming and friendly.

Disgusting . Disappointing and not what I thought I’d booked. Expecting a caravan park cabin and getting a tired , old , drab and below par motel room . Customer care and service was appalling and she was totally disinterested and un caring. She stood her ground officiously and was not prepared to make any changes. Our third person was unable to come at last minute but she made no adjustment to cost of booking . She basically said stiff bickies . I’d never stay here or recommend this accomodation to anyone.

The best hot water in shower, so hot needing to keep turning down. Plus quiet location for sleeping, even though on Highway it was still very quiet.
Pet friendly but clean, nice compared to some.
Everything else was very basic but comfortable.
The heater was extremely noisy. A must upgrade to reverse cycle is needed.
Cheap price for short stay.

Booked here as we were going to an event at Mt Duneed Estate. Booked a powered site which came with an ensuite. The park is a little dated, but the ensuite had good water pressure & a hot shower & was very clean. It's on the highway, but the noise wasn't an issue. Overall very happy for $37 a night

The hosts are really lovely and relaxed. We stayed in a cabin and it was lovely and clean. Plenty of space in the cabin. Free parking right beside it. In fact we booked another day there. Facilties are good. Separate toilet to the bathroom which was handy.

A huge shout out to all the staff at the park! They have shown themselves to be polite, helpful and friendly. The park is well run and maintained. If ever there is a problem the management deals with it in a polite, mature and conscientious manner. It is one of the best holiday parks that I have ever stayed at.

Do yourself a favour and plan your stay with the Surfcoast Highway Holiday Park.

Excellent location, friendly staff and amenities suited us for what we needed.
Pet friendly was a plus.
Close to everything and yet out of the way.
Plenty of places to go and visit and lots of things to do.
Will definitely go back and would have no issue recommending this park to anyone.
