Coming into Walsenburg on the left headed North off I-25 on Hwy 160, the first motel you see. Small, neat, older. Very affordable, with nice clean comfortable rooms. Staff(owner) very courteous and helpful.

The motel is old but clean. the bed was comfortable and half the price of other hotels nearby. We were on a cross country trip and just needing a place to stay for one night while passing thru, and this was okay.

Based on other reviews, gave this a try for a one night stay on way to Central Colorado for viewing fall leafs. At half the price of the Best Western, was a very good decision. Room was very adequate and clean. Would stay here again if traveling through Walensburg. Called hotel direct for reservation, rate was $50.

Driving by this place might make you want to keep driving but don't let the outside fool you. YES, this place has been around a while but the rooms have been updated. VERY clean, quiet and comfortable. Owners were very nice. Rooms were large. Very nice stay as we were passing through.

Disappointed when the price was much higher than was reported by other reviewers. Tried to negotiate but the owner wouldn't budge. Outdated but clean. Owner have us our money back, which was good. But if she would have negotiated a little we would have been happy.

We were here on memorial Day weekend so everything filled up quickly. Luckilly for us there still was a room available at a very friendly rate. Check in was nice and friendly. Rooms a bit on the small side but ok clean. Acceptable wifi. What more can you ask for (oh yeah they got a great neon sign)

Left Denver after work on a Friday and drove to Walsenburg, on our way to Santa Fe. The Anchor Motel worked great as a place to get some rest for an early morning drive to Ft. Garland and then down to Santa Fe. The folks at the front desk were very pleasant and gave good advice on places in Walsenburg...

This was our first stop on our spring break. It was late and we were looking for what ever came up first. Stopped in at the Anchor and it was best thing we did. First off the owners live on site. Second the rates were amazingly low. Third the room was so cute and very clean. it made a nice...

I liked staying here and will stay here again. The room and bathroom were very clean, quiet, and comfortable. I did not hear any trains but that could be because my husband sleeps with a c-pap machine. Our room was spacious for an older "mom & pop" motel. The owners are on property and very nice. There is no free...

Great folks. Bend over backward to help. Inexpensive yet clean and friendly. Walsenburg is a cute town with lots of antiquing and small mom and pop shops. Great swimming hole on the outskirts of town and the mountains are just a 15 minute drive away.

Thank Rich H
