Stayed here with a friend for a couple days of skiing. We both loved it. They could not make it much more convenient for skiing. The hotel is about 100 yards from the gondola and they have a spot to leave your skis right there. The center of town is just as close. The pool and Jacuzzis are excellent. Staff...

From the staff to the location the Lodge at Vail was spectacular. The front desk staff and especially the bellmen wereable to cater to every need and request with a smile and a, "My pleasure". They always asked how you were, how your day was and made you feel at home or at least at a good friend's home. The...

Dear William S, Thank you so much for the review. I appreciate the "Great staff, Great location," accolades. We have just finished a renovation of all of our deluxe rooms in the hotel. I know you would like the updates and would be happy to show them off in the future. We look forward to your return. At your service,...

The location is practically at the base of the mountain. You can open the door and it won't take you long to get to the mountain or to restaurants and shops in Vail Village. Some rooms have a partial view of the mountain, but many rooms will offer a view of the parking lot. Our room had been renovated. It...

Dear CodiChina, Thank you for the time to do a review. I appreciate the "EXCELLENT!" comment about the staff. We make a big deal of these acknowledgements. As a note on breakfast, we do vary our pricing for our A La Carte menu to try and give more options and price points for our guests so people don't always have...

From the moment we arrived, my family and I felt welcome. The valets, Chris and Ryan were very friendly; and management staffer, Jeff O'Brien, was extremely helpful. I stayed here about a decade ago and was pleasantly surprised to see that the decor has been updated. It is very tasteful and upscale. One example: the large screens displaying temperature and...

Dear Illinois2FL, Love the title of your review. It was great to hear that you had such a good time with us in Vail. We always like to get people back. As Vail's original hotel it is amazing how many people we have that have been here in the past. I'm thrilled you like the new design. We are always...

The hotel is fabulous, staff is friendly and helpful, location is fabulous, but daily resort fee/parking was $55+ per day. The fee wasn't disclosed when we booked on Expedia or upon check-in. I expected a parking fee but was shocked at the high resort fee on top of it.

Dear Gregory A, Thank you for the time to do a review. I always appreciate the recognition of the staff and our facility. I'm sorry the fee was a surprise. Unfortunately, it is a part of doing business in this market. On the Expedia site it is not as easy to find. As this was unexpected I'm happy to wave...

Rented a 2 bed, two bath condo. Probably last renovated in the 80's. Dark, small, under equiped and badly maintained. Examples abound but would it not be expected that the kitchen be minimally equiped with a complete set of dishes, silverware and clean and adequate cooking pots and utensils? No paring knife, chopping board, one teaspoon, no bowls, three cups,...

Dear valerie m, Thank you for the time to do a review. I'm so sorry that this experience did not meet your expectations. At a friend's recommendation, I booked my first trip to Vail to stay here. I was so pleased in every way. The room was very nice, the staff extremely helpful, room service came very quickly, the bartenders were friendly, and the location was so central. I will be back next year!

This lodge is severely outdated for the price. Our first 2 bedroom condominium had never been updated. We objected and were given an updated unit, however, the hot water would run out after a few minutes and the room was noisy up to after midnight and by 6:30 each morning with trash truck pickups. This lodge is nothing like their...

The hotel is clean and centrally located to skiing, dining and shopping. The gym is nice and usually empty and the Australian Lobsters at Elways are the best. The spa is nice and the masseuse well trained.
