Being in Frisco for the weekend, we decided to drive to Twin Lakes for dinner at the Twin Lakes Inn which lies on the shores of two large glacial lakes in the midst of stunning Rocky Mountain beauty. The Inn has been in operation for more than a century. It is rustic and charming. The friendly staff takes great care...

The historic inn is located in a town with a grocery store and not much else. Great place to get away from it all and hike. Comfortable bed and friendly staff. The restaurant is very good and fills up quickly in the evening. Be sure to make reservations and mention that you would like to have a view of the...

Thank you for staying and dining with us during your getaway to Twin Lakes. In addition to our Inn and the neighboring general store, we like to suggest a stop at the Visitors Center to learn more about the area's history. Across the street is the art gallery that's filled with work from local artists. Speaking of hikes, while there...

This was my first time to the Twin Lakes area. I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to find someplace to spend the weekend while my wife hung out with her high school girlfriend in the Denver region. (We live in Central PA.) I had considered staying in Estes Park and hiking Long’s Peak but a good friend who...

The location is perfect for exploring the beautiful areas around Leadville. The local staff at the Inn is down to earth, fun to be with and adds to the enjoyment of any trip to the area. The Inn's restaurant offers equally good service and food, which is an excellent alternative to eating in Leadville. The added benefit is staying in...

We stayed here for 4 nights in August, 2016. The other reviewers have pretty much covered it all. Quaint but comfortable rooms at the inn, very clean, friendly staff, and fabulous food! Lots of fun activities in the area. Our only observation, there's no laundry and no way to get to a laundromat without a car. This was a bit...

Thank you for sharing these helpful notes with other travelers including through hikers. And we believe that by the 2017 season (May - October) there will be local laundry options available.

We stayed here when we climbed Mount Elbert in mid-July. Check-in was very easy, and Andy offered to carry our luggage upstairs, and showed us around the place. We rented the Aspen room so we could have a private bathroom, and the shower had good water pressure. It was quiet at night, and the bed was very soft. They even...

We had two famlies with three children (13, 7, 5) and after a full day of hiking this place was just right. It was rustic, clean and a place to rest up for the next days adventure. Most rooms share a community bathroom / shower and no in room TV and the rooms are small. This is not a slight...

We stayed here as a respite from hiking the Colorado trail. How delightful to see a building built in 1870 still being used, and nicely upgraded (but not ruined). The staff were very friendly and helpful, and accommodations were pleasant (firm bed, fresh smell, interesting history, quiet). No televisions, no phony kitsch. This is a real Inn. The big surprise...

We would like to say thank you very much to the staff and especially Andy for a wonderful, warm and relaxing stay.
