On many of our trips we try to stay at family owned hotels. Following our instincts and reviews of Trip Advisor you can find decent, down to earth, no frills, clean hotels all over the country. Rabbit Ears delivers on all the above. These hotels are unique and their rooms and staff reflect unique personality and energy. Yeah, at times...

I enjoyed this hotel during a ski weekend at Steamboat Springs. The room was a little pricier that what I like to pay for a budget hotel but seemed to be priced competitively for the location and season. The room are clean, spacious, and do not seem worn. I stayed in a King room, which also included a nice couch/sitting...

Rabbit Ears Motel was affordable and good location so that after a day of skiing we were able to walk easily into town. Staff was friendly and helpful. Good breakfast to start off the day. Nicely located across the street from the town hot springs and they even have a discounted pass and provide you with towels. The shuttle to...

The Rabbit Ears is a great place to stay, period. Affordable is their trademark for many years. Yet they have impeccably clean rooms, good services, European friendly staff, a great location (right at the doorstep of town, across from the Hot Springs), and plentiful parking on site.

We really enjoyed our stay at Rabbit Ears Motel. It was close to downtown and a short drive to Steamboat Ski Resort. Our room was fairly basic, but it was clean and we loved the deck off our room/view of the river. It is pet friendly which is awesome. The breakfast was basic, but good. We plan on staying again...

Affordable and comfortable. This town can break the piggy bank so ask for a room over looking the river and still save yourself a couple of bucks. Simple but hearty continental breakfast included. Comfortable beds and plenty of pillows. There is a bus stop right out front for the free bus that runs every ten minutes throughout the day and...

No frills here just basic clean accommodations with friendly and helpful staff. We enjoyed the view over the river with porch. Bed comfortable. Room small side but adequate. Small BR sink area. Great location for downtown. Good temp control in winter. High carb breakfast not my desire but did have a few boiled eggs. Fridge and microwave great as good...

The Rabbit Ears is very affordable and perfect for what we go to Steamboat Springs to do: Snowboard - it's steps away from the free shuttle to and from the mountain. Why deal with the hassle of parking when you can just get on the shuttle and be closer than anyone else when you get dropped off? Use the overnight...

We visited in July of last year, summer time. Very clean and comfy room, beautiful linen, we were there with our teenage daughter and there was plenty of room for the three of us. Our room had a lovely out-look on to a stream and surrounding trees. Very friendly staff, couldn't have been more helpful. Lovely breakfast. Would stay here...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Luxury night's sleep minus the luxury price. The Rabbit Ears Motel, located in beautiful Steamboat Springs, Colorado, is your choice for comfortable, affordable lodging right in the center of downtown. Either they built Steamboat around our motel, or our motel was conveniently built in the center of all the action. So, both ways, you know that all the activities and nightlife the valley provides are in close proximity. Choose a weekend get-away for the family, or stay with us the whole week. World-class skiing with slope-side ski-in, ski-out convenience is expensive and overrated. Our motel is right on the main street and just a 5 minutes' bus ride to the gondola and the base of the ski area. Oh, and the bus is free. Lastly, all our guests are welcome to get reduced-priced Old Town Hot Springs passes for our recreation center, just across the street. ... more   less
