This place is terrible! The bedding is awful with old thin sheets, the bed pad is a blanket that bunches up. The heater is loud and has no thermostat and runs non stop so the room is either too hot or too cold. The heater makes the air really dry and miserable in the room. The towels are rough and...

Such a good value for TRUE ski in/out at Steamboat. Totally retro place - if you are looking for new furnishings with all the amentities, this is not the spot. If you want a place to lay your head after a hard day of skiing, with a friendly staff and bar, this is the joint. Room was clean, parking was...

We stayed in the Ptarm Inn from Dec.23-27th, 2012. It was a wonderful hotel. The girl who checked us in, Heather, was very nice and helpful. The kindness continued with the guys in Christies ski shop down stairs and with the entire staff in the restaurant and bar. The rooms and decor are a bit outdated, but dont let this...

Stayed there 4 nights to ski Steamboat in December 2012. The place is fantastic! We got a discounted early season package at around $150 per night for a room with 2 beds. The place is right near the base of the gondola. If they left the door open and didn't shovel the porch you could literally ski right into the...

My experience to Steamboat Springs was not average. The hotel was great and the staff was friendly but the mountain itself, was a huge nightmare. It snowed everyday I was there, the mountain was not very skiable because I myself am an intermediate skiier and couldn't ski through all of the powder. The conditions were great- if you were either...

This hotel is very dated. I would have been so disappointed if I'd booked a ski season stay here. The hotel needs new beds, pillows and linens. It is clean though. The price was only $10 less than La Quinta, Fairfield Inn & Suites and Iron Mt Inn. I chose this hotel because of the pet policy. Pets are only...

We just spend 2 nights at the Ptarmigan Inn, and it was an enjoyable experience. In between summer crowds and ski season, we pretty much had the place to ourselves. Staff was super helpful with suggesting activities and great restaurants. Room was clean, bed comfortable and bathroom was clean, but on the small side. we had a small balcony with...

Other reviewers tagged it - stuck in the 70's, but who cares? Rates are reasonable, the place is clean and it doesn't smell and the staff is super friendly. Our room looked out over the gondola and we had a window that opened for evening cool air in the summer. One complaint - towels could be updated. The central location...

It was a little hard to find since they had the road tore up and it didn't have any signs in where to go or how to get to the hotel. But once we found it. The hotel was ok, staff was nice. It was pretty out dated. My husband and I laughed hard at the guest computers they had...

We booked this hotel for a late Spring skiing vacation. The day we arrived was in the mid 70's and we were already feeling down about our chances of getting any good snow. The initial appearance of the Inn did not lift our spirits. It looks more than a bit dated. After checking in we had trouble with our door...
