We have camped in Steamboat Springs on three different occasions. Each time at the Steamboat RV Park. On those occasions we would characterize the park as adequate because it was old and had a minimum of amenities. If it rained the water would collect around...More
Worst KOA in the country. Filthy cabins and restrooms. Wood that would char but not burn. Fire pits with no way for air to flow. Uncaring staff. All the reasons I've come to love KOA and choose them above other campsite are right out the...More

The first half of this review more or less mirrored my experiences with Steamboat Springs Campground, but when it closed with saying that the best part was south of it at Lewes and Cape H, I realized that there must be more than one Steamboat campground. I suspect Trip Advisor has them confused. I would contact Trip Advisor if I knew how. I wonder how many of the reviews might be mixed up. BTW, the campground in Steamboat Springs, CO isn't great either, but it's pretty much the only option in town and is close to lots of cool activities.
