I thought South Fork would be a good location to stay for a couple of days. You look at the web site for the city and it looks like a cool place. The Spruce Lodge web site looked like the rooms would be fine and it mentioned a new mattress on the beds. It also made a point of telling...

We recently had a perfect stay at the Spruce Lodge. The Galbraith Room was warm and cozy, and we especially liked the Jacuzzi bath after a day of skiing. Some mornings we ate in the continental breakfast area when we wanted something light, but the breakfasts we had in the restaurant were awesome. Best biscuits and gravy I have had...

Nice place to stay and only 25-30 mins away from the Wolf Creek ski area. Enjoyed the complimentary continental breakfast. It was perfect and quick for us to get on the slopes. We didn't have time to try out the restaurant for breakfast but heard it was very good and all homemade. Will have to try it next time. The...

We stayed Sun-Thurs. We were a little skeptical because of the price...would it be clean? what condition? But reading the 2015 reviews...went for the gamble. Very pleased. It's no Marriott....but we wanted a clean place to stay and be able to cook our meals -if we wanted to - for breakfast and evening meal while skiing during the day. It...

We stayed here for a total of 7 nights, three in a 2 queen room and 4 in a 2 bedroom cabinette. Affordable, heaters that work, clean, pet and people friendly, a free breakfast that had some protein, and less than a half hour from Wolf Creek without needing to go over the Wolf Creek Pass on a snowy day...

I think the positive reviews must mostly come from those who stayed in renovated rooms in the lodge itself. We traveled with our dog, and we got a room in the "annex" building outside the lodge. Our beds were comfortable, but the aging carpet, linoleum, and bathroom fixtures needed work. The walls were so thin (including a connecting door to...

Warm, comfortable, cozy and close to Wolf Creek. The owners of the Spruce Lodge were down to earth and made our holiday stay one to remember. After a cold day of snow boarding the Jacuzzi tub in the room was just the ticket for sore muscles and total relaxation. South Fork is the place to stay when planning a trip...

The entrance is very cozy the service is good and the food is awesome. The prices are good and they are worth it. The employees are very nice and they do very well. The rooms themselves are comfortable and are always the right temperature. You'll enjoy this place of you want to kickback and relax in a small Colorado town

I stayed at this lodge while on a ski trip with my youth group, and I loved my stay. The rooms were all nice and well taken care of. The food that was served was all excellent, and was always served on time. This lodge is one of the most hospitable places I've ever stayed at, and the owners truly...
