The camp ground at the Narrows Lock, is one of the most beautiful spots on the Rideau which is truly saying something as there are many beautiful places to stay. We found the park staff at the lock were extremely helpful, the shower and toilet facilities were kept clean.
It is a wonderful place to spend a night. There is little in direct proximity so you must bring in what you will need and if the night sky and the call of the birds is not enough you may find it boring but we found it anything but. Whether you are tent camping or as we were tied up at the dock the facilities were wonderful. Power is available on the dock for those who would wish to plug in at a nominal charge at the lockkeeper's house.
