While the property is in good shape internally, the outside is not as appealing. There needs to be better signage and the grounds need freshened up. The room was very clean and the bed was very adequate. The staff is very pleasant. Breakfast was included and it was adequate for a quick breakfast when leaving. I enjoyed the stay here.

My two kids and I stayed in the family suite. It was nice for everyone to have their own bed and I had a separate room with a TV. They also had a TV. The pool was too cold to use but the hot tub was nice and perfect for three people. It wasn't crowded so that was nice. Don't...

I stayed at the Great Western Colorado Lodge for my first time a few years ago and I kept a positive memory of the place. This time, in mid october 2015, before opting for this motel I had a look at other options in town since I was somewhat doubtful it was still the good place I knew. Part of...

Clerk (Kylie) was great-I checked in early and she picked out a great room for me. Room was large, quiet, had great bathroom, closet, TV, coffee, A/C, comfy bed, clean! No mini-fridge or microwave, but not an issue for me. Motel is right on Route 50, only 1.5 miles from downtown area. You can walk to it if you're used...

Admittedly we reserved on line and arrived around 7:30, past the cancellation policy. Our fault. Walked into the lobby and it smelled like moth balls misted with the Febrese bottle on the counter. That's when the sneezing started. Walked toward our room and passed an open room door where a man in his shorts was sitting on the bed with...

Our car broke down on July 4, 2104 on the side of Monarch mountain around 5pm. It was such a hassle already finding a tow on a holiday, impossible to find a rental and very challenging to find a hotel! So we got towed to Salida. Who knew so many people wanted to spend July 4th in Salida?? I was...

Clean room, next door to the hot springs pool, quiet. Beds are poor and pillows are worse-had to use 3. Has a indoor pool/spa. No mini frig or microwave. A mini coffee pot was on site. Good price, good restaurant across the street. Next time I will pay a bit more for, hopefully, a better night's sleep.

Older hotel that was a perfect base in Salida for a snowboarding/fishing trip with an old college buddy. Definitely an older property but pretty clean and maintained. Staff was friendly and helpful. Has a pool and older hot tub (ever see Hot Tub Time Machine?) which is always nice after a day on the mountain or in the river. Beds...

Different room set ups offer great choices for mixed groups. Kids mentioned the pool was a bit cold, but that leaves the pool room comfortable to sit and talk, it didn't slow the kids down at all. Convenient location, large rooms. Hot tub getting a bit moldy, musty. Old school set up.
