The breakfast to your room service was awesome...the front room so large why waste the space? The place was immaculate and the staff very competent and friendly. Positioned right by the main city park and the Arkansas river in the heart of old Salida. Walking distance to the entire town.

We only stayed for one night in the Governor Hunt Suite, but it was wonderful, a corner, very spacious room, overlooking the park and the Arkansas River. For an old hotel, everything was top notch, with a nice sitting area (not a separate room though) and a well equipped kitchenette. As you might expect the bathroom was tiny, but very...

My boyfriend, dog and I walked in last minute and were helped by a pleasant young man, Will, who set us up in a spacious and well appointed suite (101). The location is superb and the room had more than we needed for a quick trip, but ensured that we will come back to the Palace for future stays. Communication...

The Hotel was fine and the room was clean, but no mention of the construction going on next to the Hotel when we booked. Plus the parking for our room was in the alley, right next to the construction. Very unsafe! When we stepped out of our room, we were in the middle of a construction site. Couldn't even move...

Dear average2017, I am sorry to hear you did not enjoy your most recent stay with us. Being your third time staying in this particular suite while the construction behind the building has been in progress, it is surprising to me that you left the review you did. It seems to me you were well aware of the parking area...

Neat old west hotel in an ol' timey town. No problems, staff was wonderful, breakfast was delicious. Lots of character in the rooms. We would stay there again. Ramblin' on was a great run, good trees.

Warm, comfy suites at the heart of downtown Salida. Bars, restaurant and entertainment all on the doorstep with the Arkansas river just yards away too. A helpful team of staff complete the package to make this an excellent boutique hotel base to enjoy Salida from.

Ours was the least expensive room in the hotel – and we have no problems whatsoever. It is located in our favorite town in Colorado and convenient to the best restaurants, shops, and galleries of Salida. Great skiing and wonderful hot springs are both located within 20 miles.

This is a sweet spot in Salida. Historic, clean, great service and great location. Near river walk and downtown restaurants. We had a great stay and enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and bottle of wine.

This place had every attribute of a mountain town hotel that makes me love mountain town hotels. It's unique (every room is different), the service is friendly but not stuffy, the decor is well thought out and fits the place, you can see the river as well as hear it and it's walking distance to great bars and restaurants. Suite 101! That's what's up! It is the only "kid friendly" room but that was just what we needed. It was in a location of the hotel that our 2 year old running around wasn't bothering any of the guests. Laundry, Full Kitchen and private patio were perfect. The complimentary breakfast was the icing on the cake. Warm muffins mmmmmmmm....
