The bed and breakfast seemed too good to be true, the stay exceeded our expectations. It was my wife and I first time traveling with our two month old and two large dogs. The rooms were so clean it seemed like we were the first ones to have pets in the room. The off leash area is the size of... More

Thank you for such a great review - we have had some roosters comments before...funny how you don't even notice it when you live here! Part of the ambiance I guess! We are really trying to appeal to guests that are travelling with their pets - so you really hit the nail on the head - we have a big... More

I spent two nights in one of the trailers and had a marvelous, peaceful, restorative retreat. It was quiet and beautiful setting. The goats were just plain fun to hang out with and watch. The main lodge was well kept, inviting and comfortable. The breakfasts were quite good, with variety and filling. There is a lot to keep you busy... More

Glad you enjoyed your peaceful stay in the retro trailer park area. Being new, we are just having a lot of fun with them. They will only be offered in the summer months, so do come back and try the lodge rooms - for a bit more luxury! We are also happy to share the goats with all of our... More

This was our second stay at Mountain Goat Lodge and this time we brought our 8 year old granddaughter. She absolutely loved it and the animals. Gina and her son were kind enough and let the kids watch the goats get milked and let the kids have a turn which they loved! The breakfast was awesome!

We missed out on staying in the inn, but were able to stay in a new "retro" camper. This is a new addition to the Mountain Goat Lodge lineup and was so fun. We stayed up late visiting with the neighbors, enjoying the views. Once they get the trees trimmed a little more, the views will be wonderful:). The breakfast... More

THANK YOU for taking the time to write an interesting and wonderful review. I am working on getting some different mattresses in the campers other than the factory installed ones. As for your comments about trimming the trees - I don't know if I can do that, but will give it some serious thought. (our trees are such a precious... More

My children and I stayed here for two nights and we all loved it. We were warmly welcomed from the moment we set foot inside. The chickens, goats and llama are all so much fun to watch. Thank you Miami!! It is great to get visitors from so far away, since we mostly get people from CO and Texas and neighboring states. So wish you could have stayed longer as I truly enjoyed meeting your delightful little family. Thanks again for such a charming review - happy travels! More

It was wonderful to find a place so beautiful as well as dog friendly. It is Gina who makes the place super special. Her breakfasts and made to order coffee's are excellent. The goat cheese and yoghurt are sublime. However, Gina's warm welcome, love for animals, patience with children and big people and an ability to cope with stress (power... More

Stayed the 'retro camper' for two nights to use as a base for a weekend of mountain biking. Perfectly content in the small space, super clean and nice views from porch. Hot tub was key after getting caught in afternoon downpour. Nice lodge to catch up on emails via Wi-Fi, great barista makes outstanding lattes. Nice breakfast sunday morning before... More

Hello Steve! Thank you for taking the time to write a review, especially about our new retro campers. As you know, we are still ironing out all the details and like to hear feedback about them. During the summer it is very common to get lots of families, kids and pets as, we are family and pet friendly. You will... More

The MGI is a treat. We stayed in the Mt Princeton room which was a great size and nicely appointed. The inn keeper was very friendly and served up an unexpectedly delicious breakfast. We awoke to the sound of a rooster crowing which was a hoot and got a tutorial on goat milking. Fun indeed. And, try Fritz's in Salida... More

Really good breakfasts. (Chilaquiles were AWESOME!) Really nice deck out back with an inspiring view of mountains plus goats, chickens, a llama and hummingbirds. Pretty convenient to downtown Salida. I apologize for the smoke detector going off during the night which woke ALL OF US up. Trust me, this was not planned. As a safety device – all the detectors are wired together and thus it takes time to isolate and find the culprit dead battery. We change out the batteries every six months but sometimes get a bad...
