We stayed 2nights here in late October and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The owner, Gina, thinks of everything, and has added so many personal touches. Breakfast both mornings was fabulous, and Gina sat down and chatted with us both times. Location is superb, far enough from Salida to be out where the views are gorgeous, but only about a 10...

Dear Dawn - Aw shucks! Thanks so much for your great review! We hope you can make it back soon, we just got all new carpet throughout the lodge and have created some new recipes too! The weather has been super crisp and sunny and the ski resort is now open, so think of us for a mid-winter getaway, warmly...

I can't say enough great things, just go and enjoy! The place is beautiful, rooms and beds very comfortable and has every amenity you could want. They are wonderful, kind and attentive people. The food and coffee was superb as well. I hope I can make it back in the future!

I really wanted to love this place. The lodge and furnishings are very nice, newer, and well kept, and the views of the Collegiate mountains stunning (particularly at sunrise). It's also reasonably close enough to downtown Salida to easily head in for a meal or some shopping. But unlike other reviewers my wife and I didn't find the hospitality to...

Ouch! We try so hard to care for our guests to make sure they have a good time, and then a review like yours comes in. We're sorry if we did not live up to your expectations. Sometimes having so many great reviews on this and other sites sets us up for a fall, since it is impossible to bat...

What a wonderful weekend! Great rooms, Chamber of Commerce views, and gourmet meals! Gina is an awesome hostess and as a bonus, is quite the Barista! We have stayed at a number of B&B's and have never had a coffee bar like this. Can't wait to return and visit my new friend, Mara, the youngest of the goats.

Thanks so much for your kind review. The days are now cool and crisp and such a good time to visit as we are quiet, the hot tub is waiting for night time star gazing, and the hot spiced wine is in the crock pot for apres-ski (or apres-anything) We too love Mara - but you will have to come...

And what a comfortable bed (those sheets, wow!), then there was the delicious made-to-order breakfast, the made-to-order gourmet coffees & lattes - WOW! This was a very relaxing B&B, a really great place to get away! Oh & it's not right in the city so sitting out on their back deck & taking in those stars at night was amazing!...

A last minute trip to the southwest part of Colorado brought us for one night to the MGL. We stayed in the Mt. Princeton Room which offers great north and west views of the Collegiate Peaks. LOVED the goats and Sydney the Lodge dog. Hospitality awesome! Breakfast was tasty and hearty. The one negative of this property is that it...

Thank you so much for your review. We love the views as well and hope to never take them for granted. We missed you when you were here as we were out of town, but hope to meet you at another time. A great time to visit is in April when the first (goat) kids are born.

Very dog friendly, very gracious and accommodating. The hosts are wonderful and very helpful in our quest to bird in the surrounding area. Rooster wake up call got us out of bed for early birding. Residents were humming birds, blue birds and hawks.

Thank you for taking the time to to write such a nice review. It was truly wonderful having you both here and that you shared your birding expertise was just the icing on the cake! It seems that there is always interesting bird-watching all year around. I will take your advice about adding extra hummingbird feeders on each side of...

My husband and I and our 6 mo. old Golden-Doodle pup, Lucy found spur of the moment lodging when we were needed for a family emergency in nearby Nathrop. Nice place to stay! On the downside, transparant curtains in the Oberhasli Suite, so absolutely no privacy and an early wake up call due to the morningsun. Despite advertisement on the website, NO daily maidservice. Not enough tables and chairs inside (though enough space to place some more), so we had breakfast outside, I was offered a blanket, but still,...

I took my 86-year-old mother and 1-year-old border collie to stay at Mountain Goat Lodge. Mom had her doubts about the cleanliness of such a dog-friendly place, but her fears were immediately eased.
