We are located in the most coveted place in Nemberala beach, just in front of the main wave T-Land, which gives its name to the resort and is one of the longest left waves in Indonesia. All rooms have sea views, each one with a different decoration and inspired in Timor style, always respecting the local tradition. The T-Land Resort is a perfect destination for surfers traveling in couples, with friends or family, but also ideal if you're traveling alone, as you enjoy a warm family atmosphere, the main feature of our resort. It is hidden among the palm trees of this remote island.

Our family of 4 (two adults and children aged 7 & 2 years) stayed at T-Land resort for 12 days in June/July and we unreservedly loved it. We were cared for and welcomed from the very first booking request - Adriana attended to our every initial question and doubt promptly, patiently and generously, making us feel comfortable and pleased with our choice. This was only confirmed when we arrived the first evening after a long trip beset by delays to be welcomed by the beautiful team we have since come to love and admire for their hospitality and friendliness - thank you Adriana, Ruben, Amaya, Ivan, Erna, Dessy, Ruben, Ayu, and everyone else who contributed to such a memorable holiday. We were assigned two extremely comfortable, very clean, and very well appointed rooms with a generous and lovely outdoor bathroom and a pleasingly shaded verandah with a perfect view of the surf break. The swimming pool was always clean and our eldest daughter loved spending time around the pool meeting all the other guests. The sandy and well designed resort setting was perfect for our young son. The food was plentiful, delicious and varied and the children’s special requests were attended to with patience and grace by the beautiful kitchen team. The ease of accommodation in front of the surf break was appreciated by all, enabling my husband to slip away for frequent sessions while at the same time keeping plenty of opportunities for family excursions. We enjoyed snorkelling, kayaking, and a memorable trip to a neighbouring island. We all loved ‘aperitivo time’ at sunset, the children relishing the plentiful popcorn and the adults the company. It was very special to always have the owners on site, unfailingly gracious, efficient, and friendly. We enjoyed many evenings together, and our children felt very much at home. The beach in front of the resort was perfect for swimming, socialising with the locals, and watching the surfers and fishing boats head out. We even spent an evening watching baby turtles hatch in front of the resort and make their way down to the shore. We would highly recommend T-land resort to families - it is remote and the trip has its challenges, but the frustrations are well rewarded on arrival. Thank you to the beautiful team.

A wonderful relaxing resort that is great for surfers and accompanying non surfing partners. A very peaceful and friendly location away from the busy Bali. The surf is fantastic in and not heavy. The food is plentiful and very good with great variety. Su sets at the beach front bar are amazing

My husband, 2 year old son and I stayed for two amazing weeks in late March/early April 2015. Beginning with our booking inquiry until our departure, T-land were excellent in every way.
Beautiful, tastefully decorated rooms and outdoor showers (all serviced twice daily and kept exceptionally clean by staff), with plenty of space for boards (racks provided), personal effects etc. We spent hours in their lovely pool and were pleased with the awesome location with T-land right out front and only seconds from the beach with an enviable bar that captures the sunsets and looks out over the break in the distance, and we have to make mention of the terrific, friendly and attentive employees.
Special mention for the food - plentiful, terrific Indonesian style with a focus on freshly caught fish and squid. The salads and variety of fresh food exceeded expectations. The odd European style meal was a treat also.
What made this special for us were the terrific owners/hosts - Ruben, Adriana, Maya and Ivan. Genuinely lovely people, obviously liked by locals, who went out of their way to be approachable and helpful. They made us feel very welcome at all times, and were terrific (and patient) with our two year old who son (cot and highchair provided).
Obviously you have to be vigilant with a pool and a small child, but we felt safe with our son and would recommend families consider T-land resort and I'm relieved we stayed there when we were deciding where might be best for an active toddler. We'd take our son back and indeed we hope to in the near future. They sourced a babysitter for us (good rates) and we felt comfortable with her watching him for up to a few hours at a time within the premises so we could surf together.
Waves - It was the beginning of the season and we were happy to get one good swell, and we surfed most days (some days were smaller but we rented their SUPs and still had a great time). For the good days, T-land is an amazing wave and we're keen to go back perhaps a little later in the season next time.
Overall, we loved the overall experience (the resort made it exceptional), and would like to return. Thumbs Up.

The resort is on the face of the waves and you can surf anytime you want. The staff is very gentle and attentive. We were half afraid tha we have not much informations about the place but It was our best choice in Indonesia.

We were lucky enough to have found T-Land resort by word of mouth..This place surpassed any expectations we had.It was everything the website described.The owners were incredibly nice and couldn't do enough to make our holiday great. The staff were exceptional,the rooms were very clean and well appointed for our beach holiday.The food was delicious and although initially on visiting Indonesia I intended to only eat cooked and vegetarian food as I did not want the Bali belly I quickly changed my mind after seeing the kitchen and the way the food was prepared for us.I had no qualms at all with T-Land..My partner surfed twice a day and I had plenty of activities to keep me happy..Full points for this great holiday place.The Island was a jewel.Definately want to visit again?Remember to keep some room in your bags and some rupiah to purchase the lovely locally made Icat rugs from the locals there.I bought some in Kupang thinking there wouldn't be any on Rote but I think there were more deserving locals to patronise on this lovely Island.

T land Resort is from another time - Bali 30 years ago. Just 8 rooms and a pool, bar and restaurant on the beach ront of Nembrala. It located right where the boats take you out to the surf break. We stayed 9 nights, my wife and I and our 10 month old son - we would go back in a minute. The staff are chilled out and very helpful, the food is excellent, the rooms cool and comfortable. The village of Nembralla is delightful and traditional. This is really one of our favourite places on the planet.

i was lucky enough to hear about Rote island and this resort during my holidays in Indonesia. It all was by chance as traveling alone I came across 2 different people who told me about the boundaries of this place and it´s wave. I´m not a surfer, just a very beginner one but t-land resort is such a great and unforgettable experience that i´d suggest for everyone, either surfer or just for those who love to have one life off experience. Getting Rote Island is not that easy as you have to go through Kupang (West Timor) and grab a ferry from there but definitely worth to do it. T-land Resort is all about enjoying nature, relaxing and of course take the most of one of the best waves in Indo. T-land resort are some luxury huts right in front of the wave and right next to a village which looks like 100 years ago, so a really unspoiled place and literally off the beaten track. Wave is amazing, there is a boat from the resort fully available for guest who want to surf t-land wave. But also you have plenty of different activities you can do. The Island it self offers a huge range of different options but i´d choose mixing and visiting local communities and village and getting lost around the island with a motorbike. Ivan and Amaya who´re the owners and managers of the resorts made their best to offer the better experience to all guests. they put huge amount of effort and work to build this amazing place. Food is extremely fresh all made with local products and one of the best things. Price wise is not cheap but for me worth as you get out loads of the place. Thanks guys again for your hospitality. I had one of my best experience ever. Looking forward to visiting the resort again.

We were greeted on arrival by Ariana, Reuben, Evan and Maya it was such a warm and personal greeting.
We were shown to our accommodation. The rooms were spotless with air conditioning and insect screens. The rooms are serviced twice daily. They are designed by surfers, with your own personal board rack in your private courtyard. The shower and bathroom open to the stars. So cool!!
The food was perfect, with a great Indo/Spanish blend and it was plentiful. At no point did I feel hungry.
The location is the best, directly in front of T-land break and the boat departure point, where you have your own personal boat to take you to and from the surf. No waiting for more people to fill the boat before it leaves
Our host Ariana, Reuben, Evan, Maya, and the staff are so friendly, always with a smile and ready to help with any info you need. Then in the evening, as the sunsets, they sit with you in the bar for a quite drink and a chat.
The surf was perfect - perfect – perfect even the bad waves are good.
It is a great adventure getting there, either three plane flights or two flights and a boat trip, whichever you choose.
Remember, you are in Indonesia and go with the flow, it’s a great trip. Highly recommended.

Tland resort is the best resort in the nembrala area. Everything is top second to none. The food is plentiful and delicious. Absolutely no going hungry. All food is served soo fresh and is homestyled cruisine The location is THE BEST. Boat waiting to take you surfing whenever YOU want. No working to a timetable here, you surf when u want. No long walk along foreshore before and after surf. The resort location is right there where the boat leaves. Rooms have everything u need. Comfy beds, fridge, board storage, safe(not needed), air conditioning and warm water. Rooms get made up twice daily which is soo good. The pool is great. Staff are very friendly and respectful. Not one negative thing to say about this surf resort
