Just outside the town of Pagosa Springs, you have to drive to get to any restaurant, but the location itself is pleasant, with a small pond and place to sit and watch the ducks. We had a standard room, which was comfortable but nondescript; the...More

There are no restaurants within walking distance. The High Country Lodge is on the highway that goes over Wolf Creek Pass. You will have to drive into town for everything. A lot of the new places in Pagosa Springs are on the end furthest away from the High Country Lodge.
If you are looking for a convenient location, someplace in town might be better.
