Came here for romantic weekend but caught in middle of huge wedding party. Loud and pricey rooms. At least could have offered breakfast. Paying for parking was silly. This isn't new York city. Buffett breakfast was only okay. Could see why few people ate here. Okay for one try but wouldn't stay again unless prices dropped significantly.

Just returned from the Cliff House, it is an older hotel, but that is what gives it character. I stayed in one of the suites and it was beautiful, separate shower and tub. Fireplace and beautiful view. Bed was Nice and comfortable, and we had turn down service nightly. Checking in was a breeze, and every one took good care...

The weather was misty, foggy and cool so we asked to check in at 2:30 p.m. and our room was ready. Stayed in a junior suite with a view of the mountains, once the fog cleared. Loved everything about the room: the two person jacuzzi tub, the walk in closet, the fireplace and even the heated toilet seat! With the...

We stayed for one night and had a lovely room, but quite a poor view. Maybe you could request a mountain view, but we didn't think to do that. That was really the only negative. The décor was comfortable and bathroom really pretty. The people at the front desk and valet parkers were very nice and helpful. Breakfast was in...

Let me begin by saying that I love historic, intimate, boutique hotels. The Cliff House was stellar from start to finish. We spent 2 lovely days there. The furnishings are old fashioned and it felt like we stepped into another time (with modern amenities). A cross between the 1920´s vs 1940´s. If you have heard the music in the movie...

The Cliff House is a grand old hotel in the Victorian Style. Just absolutely gorgeous. Our room had the old time flair, and yet had a heated toilet seat! The Bell Staff was exceedingly friendly. We were going to have dinner in the main dining room but we heard a diner complain of very poor service and a long wait...

This lovely historical hotel is one of the oldest in Colorado. It has had Presidents and many famous people stay here, and there are rooms with their names on them. Our room had a fireplace, a Jacuzzi tub and a fabulous shower with several shower heads. They have towel warmers and toilet seat warmers---everything you can imagine for a luxury...

To put it simply, we utterly loved this hotel, and thought it was almost worth the flight to Colorado just to stay there. A large old house with lots of nooks and crannies, the hotel features a large sitting area on the ground floor and a long balcony out front where you can sip drinks, eat, or just sit and...

We go to Manitou Springs a few times a year, and we kept saying we wanted to stay at the Cliff House. Every time we were going, Cliff House was booked up. This is an amazing hotel. My boyfriend and I stayed there for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. We had a Queen Suite room, which was pretty small, but was a good use of space. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
What makes a hotel truly special?Prestige? Romance? Luxury? As a four diamond Colorado Springs Hotel, these attributes are very important, and we have each of them in abundance, but none of them matter as much as... the stories. The stories that are started here, by brides and grooms celebrating their weddings. The stories that are commemorated here, when couples choose us for their anniversaries. The stories that are shared here, when family vacations become unforgettable memories. Our stories really do matter: they define who we are. You see, as the premier historic hotel of the Greater Colorado Springs area, our history is forever intertwined with what we are today. In fact, The Cliff House is older than the State of Colorado itself! And just like your story, we have had our ups and downs: we have played host to famous dignitaries, and we have been a barracks for soldiers. Later floods and fires have even threatened our hotel's very existence. But, just like you, we've persevered. After our extensive remodel and grand re-opening in 1999, we quickly proved that The Cliff House is once again one of Colorado's finest luxury hotels. Nestled at the foot of majestic Pikes Peak, we've managed to keep all the trappings of Victorian elegance and luxury and also become a leader in innovative room features with state-of-the-art technology. Since 2001, we've consecutively received the prestigious AAA Four Diamond Award for both the hotel and our dining room. Our dining room has also received the DiRoNa Award, and Wine Spectator's Best of Award of Excellence, every year. From our world-class fine dining, our amazing rooms, personalized service, our fun new bar and grill, to the limitless experiences and activities Manitou Springs has to offer: we are confident that you will love your stay here... and what a story you'll have to tell! We're proud of our history. Come share yours with us! We're within ten minutes of downtown Colorado Springs, but (rest assured) a world away! ... more   less
