The Cliff House is a grand old hotel in the Victorian Style. Just absolutely gorgeous. Our room had the old time flair, and yet had a heated toilet seat! The Bell Staff was exceedingly friendly. We were going to have dinner in the main dining room but we heard a diner complain of very poor service and a long wait...

This lovely historical hotel is one of the oldest in Colorado. It has had Presidents and many famous people stay here, and there are rooms with their names on them. Our room had a fireplace, a Jacuzzi tub and a fabulous shower with several shower heads. They have towel warmers and toilet seat warmers---everything you can imagine for a luxury...

To put it simply, we utterly loved this hotel, and thought it was almost worth the flight to Colorado just to stay there. A large old house with lots of nooks and crannies, the hotel features a large sitting area on the ground floor and a long balcony out front where you can sip drinks, eat, or just sit and...

We go to Manitou Springs a few times a year, and we kept saying we wanted to stay at the Cliff House. Every time we were going, Cliff House was booked up. This time, surprisingly enough on Labor Day weekend, we found a room available through third-party booking on Sunday night, and it was exquisite! It was worth the wait....

This is an amazing hotel. My boyfriend and I stayed there for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. We had a Queen Suite room, which was pretty small, but was a good use of space. I would likely opt for a bigger room if/when I return, but the room size did not take away from the beautiful scenery and relaxing...

Good Afternoon Ashley. I am so pleased to hear that you thoroughly enjoyed your stay with us. I would recommend the next time you choose to stay with us you look online at our Celebirty Suites, they are our larger rooms! Wish we could have stayed longer. The hotel was wonderful. The staff were great and our room was so quaint. I have not had the cloth on the floor before, so that was a surprise. We had hot water, wifi, a little refrig, cold water and a clean room. Some of the fees are high. Not something we have dealt...

I cannot say enough good things about The Cliff House. From the valet and bellman to the front desk and maitre d', our service was impeccable. Just sitting on the beautiful front porch with a glass of wine and looking at the mountains made our stay very special. The food in the dining room was wonderful. Our room was more...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
What makes a hotel truly special?Prestige? Romance? Luxury? As a four diamond Colorado Springs Hotel, these attributes are very important, and we have each of them in abundance, but none of them matter as much as... the stories. The stories that are started here, by brides and grooms celebrating their weddings. The stories that are commemorated here, when couples choose us for their anniversaries. The stories that are shared here, when family vacations become unforgettable memories. Our stories really do matter: they define who we are. You see, as the premier historic hotel of the Greater Colorado Springs area, our history is forever intertwined with what we are today. In fact, The Cliff House is older than the State of Colorado itself! And just like your story, we have had our ups and downs: we have played host to famous dignitaries, and we have been a barracks for soldiers. Later floods and fires have even threatened our hotel's very existence. But, just like you, we've persevered. After our extensive remodel and grand re-opening in 1999, we quickly proved that The Cliff House is once again one of Colorado's finest luxury hotels. Nestled at the foot of majestic Pikes Peak, we've managed to keep all the trappings of Victorian elegance and luxury and also become a leader in innovative room features with state-of-the-art technology. Since 2001, we've consecutively received the prestigious AAA Four Diamond Award for both the hotel and our dining room. Our dining room has also received the DiRoNa Award, and Wine Spectator's Best of Award of Excellence, every year. From our world-class fine dining, our amazing rooms, personalized service, our fun new bar and grill, to the limitless experiences and activities Manitou Springs has to offer: we are confident that you will love your stay here... and what a story you'll have to tell! We're proud of our history. Come share yours with us! We're within ten minutes of downtown Colorado Springs, but (rest assured) a world away! ... more   less
