The Cliff House at Pikes Peak has a great location, it's a beautiful old building with lots of character and charm. Check in was quick and efficient but that's about it, I was greeted with a cold response from the young lady. That was the first impression and nothing ever really happened for me to change it for me. Actually...

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW
Reviewed 4 October 2016

The Cliff House in Manitou Springs is a highly recommend establishment. The hotel is said to be the oldest hotel in Colorado under continuous operation as a hotel. The renovations at this establishment are very well done. The veranda, patio and the public areas are extremely inviting. Hotel appointments in the public areas, and especially those of historical significance, are...

I have stayed here before. The best experience is the porch. Great view. Unfortunately housekeeping was disgusting. The next morning when we drew the shower curtain the tub had hair from the previous guest. When I lifted up the toilet seat there was also a surprise on the bottom of the seat, disgusting. Next day it was still there. The...

Loved, loved, loved this hotel in beautiful Manitou Springs! We booked a 2 nights stay whilst touring America, firstly NYC and then Denver. After the madness of New York, this was just what we needed, pure relaxation. We had booked a studio but on arriving, was told we had been given a free upgrade. When we got to our 'room'...

My husband surprised me with an early anniversary trip to Manitou Springs. Hailing from the south, I've never seen the mountains. The Cliff House is perfectly situated at the base of Manitou Mountain with Pikes Peak hovering in the background. We arrived at night, so I was unable to see the view until morning. When I awoke and drew the...

We had a good experience here. It was a unique place with almost a bed-and-breakfast feel. It has old, historic charm but with modern amenities. It's also in a great location. There is so much to do in the area, from Pike's Peak to shopping and dining.

This is a departure from the usual business hotel. Very quaint victorian building that existed before Colorado was officially declared a state in the US. The hotel staff is delightful, service is impeccable, and the rooms are clean and spacious. The hotel restaurant is very good as well. Especially love the crab cakes and ahi tuna appetizers.

This is such a unique and one of a kind establishment. My wife and I wanted to do pikes peak and the Manitou incline and we happen to stay here. The rooms are fantastic with their own names, character, and design. They even offered us an upgrade. A beautiful place. Food was very good also.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
What makes a hotel truly special?Prestige? Romance? Luxury? As a four diamond Colorado Springs Hotel, these attributes are very important, and we have each of them in abundance, but none of them matter as much as... the stories. The stories that are started here, by brides and grooms celebrating their weddings. The stories that are commemorated here, when couples choose us for their anniversaries. The stories that are shared here, when family vacations become unforgettable memories. Our stories really do matter: they define who we are. You see, as the premier historic hotel of the Greater Colorado Springs area, our history is forever intertwined with what we are today. In fact, The Cliff House is older than the State of Colorado itself! And just like your story, we have had our ups and downs: we have played host to famous dignitaries, and we have been a barracks for soldiers. Later floods and fires have even threatened our hotel's very existence. But, just like you, we've persevered. After our extensive remodel and grand re-opening in 1999, we quickly proved that The Cliff House is once again one of Colorado's finest luxury hotels. Nestled at the foot of majestic Pikes Peak, we've managed to keep all the trappings of Victorian elegance and luxury and also become a leader in innovative room features with state-of-the-art technology. Since 2001, we've consecutively received the prestigious AAA Four Diamond Award for both the hotel and our dining room. Our dining room has also received the DiRoNa Award, and Wine Spectator's Best of Award of Excellence, every year. From our world-class fine dining, our amazing rooms, personalized service, our fun new bar and grill, to the limitless experiences and activities Manitou Springs has to offer: we are confident that you will love your stay here... and what a story you'll have to tell! We're proud of our history. Come share yours with us! We're within ten minutes of downtown Colorado Springs, but (rest assured) a world away! ... more   less
