The Lake City area is just beautiful and you can't go wrong with a visit to this area. Wanting a little more than a primitive camp site, we sought out Castel Lakes. We probably had one of the nicest spots on the grounds, next to the little lake. On the upper tier, the sites are small and tight. Lots of...

We stayed at this RV Campground with 5 other families. It was an amazing time with absolutely beautiful views. The campground is well kept and beautifully maintained. Our teenagers loved that they could use the lodge to check their phones ones in a while. We loved the day we rented jeeps and drove right out of the campground. Amazing place!

Before booking at this campground, I read the reviews, some of which were negative. I decided to go ahead and stay at this campground. What I found is that many of the reviews about the owners/managers of the campground were true. They are rather controlling and rule-heavy. By the way, when you check-in, you get a legal sized piece of...

This Place Is Amazing and is life changing. Steve and Monica are great camp hosts and are EXCELLENT at what they do. It's Very reassuring knowing that they are strict with the speed limits of the park, especially with little kids frequently acting like, Little kids.. Every time there is an issue Steve or Monica is there to help, and...

Just returned from a 6 day Camping (tents) trip at Castle Lakes Camp grounds. We felt very welcomed at Castle Lakes, the Bathrooms/Showers were kept spotless. The General store well stocked. Had a good connect to the Camps Wi-Fi. Saw Moose everyday about 4 miles from camp grounds. Wild flowers at American Basin were at full bloom. Still some snow...

This was our first visit to Castle Lakes, and Lake City. We were awed by all the scenery, beauty, and hospitality. My son (12) was determined to catch a fish but had no luck the first day. The next day we drove up to Deer Lakes and he got car sick twice. Monica felt bad he didn't get fish then...

Over what we intended to pay but were pleasantly surprised by the view, the wonderful little cabin, (f) and the remoteness. Lake was beautiful as well as surrounding area. Cabin was fantastic - small but very well designed.

I guess you have to be a "regular" to get treated well. Obviously we will not be a regular. Water was out for 2 days-Did they offer anykind of compensation? Goodness no! Just a sorry you won't have any water until we fix the problem. I do have to admit that the campround is very beautiful and located very close...

We have been coming to Castle Lakes since 2005. This is the nicest campground we have found in Colorado; complete with beautiful scenery, impeccably maintained grounds, two lakes for trout fishing, and located where one can ride an ATV right onto the Alpine Loop; no trailer required! Our hosts Steve & Monica have always been very accommodating, and have gone...

I and three friends stayed in a trailer, old but clean and well furnished, overlooking a lake. Entire area was clean and well maintained, the owners friendly and helpful. Well priced. There are rules, but reasonable, based on consideration, safety, and thoughtfulness of others.
