The location we stayed in (courtyard cabins) was 1 block from main street, and 2 blocks from the lake. They were having a slow weekend and upgraded us to their nicest cabin since we had a friend coming up to stay for the weekend.

When we visit Grand Lake, we always are able to walk into town for dining and shopping. For hiking and playing in the snow, a car is necessary. I truthfully am not sure about shuttle services...don't recall seeing any... More

Denver airport is about 2 1/2 hours away. I went in summer so this trip wasn’t focus around skiing there may be local hills near but the resort most know, vail keystone , Breck is another 2 hours on other mountain range. No... More

I went in summer so this trip wasn’t focus around skiing there may be local hills near but the resort most know, vail keystone , Breck is another 2 hours on other mountain range. No shuttle service by hotel but u can take the CO shuttle. Great place we really liked it
