We stayed at one of the cabins in October and truly enjoyed the serene surrounding and natural beauty at close to 9000 feet altitude. It was great to have the cafeteria serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. We also made our own meals. Be sure to stop in Granby for drinks, snacks and any groceries you may need. We went for...

First off, you need to realize that people don't come to Snow Mountain Ranch for the "hotel experience" or the food. :>) The food is institutional, cafeteria style food. Nuff said. The rooms are BASIC and rustic. Don't expect any amenities, although they do have good wi-fi and cell service now. You come to Snow Mountain Ranch to escape, get...

Our family has experienced YMCA SMR several times over the years camping out, staying in the lodges, and most recently staying in a cabin. We’ve seen the Ranch go through some changes over the years, nearly all positive. This review is from our cabin experience. We had originally planned a stay at SMR for earlier in the year, but due...

Beautiful setting, more than decent accommodations, meals, and facilities. Just be prepared to do a lot of walking between activities and at this elevation, some in our group (due to age, weight, fitness level) were sometimes struggling to really enjoy what was on offer.

I cross country ski at SMR, but I would never stay there. The buildings are old an in disrepair. I have gone into a couple of lodges, and it's they are more like camping with four walls and a roof. I do like the cross country trails, however, The staff at the Nordic center is pretty nice. There are definitely...

We attended a wedding. We have stayed here before and will again. Bring your hiking boots! And be sure your sunglasses are rated UVA and UVB! It's intense. Take the hiking trail out to the waterfalls. It is further than it looks, though. And stay in the yurts. The lodge is just a lodge. You're going here for the experience!...

The YMCA has an amazing expansive property packed with fun activities for the entire family ! This was the first time we stayed in a yurt and we were so pleasantly surprised. They were spacious, comfortable and had excellent amenities for "camping." The shared facilities of big sink basins, bathrooms and even hot water showers were nicer than expected. We...

The activities - zip line, archery, tubing, mini golf, horseback riding, etc. are best for kids younger than 15. Hiking and bike riding might be good for older kids. The yurts are OK but bring heaters and blankets as it gets cold. Mattresses are average.

When we first checked in here I was viewing it like a lodge/hotel in a national park. As such, it would be poor. While the linens and shower were clean, the windows were actually very dirty and the floors in the halls were well worn. BUT, the next morning I started viewing it more like a campground with some indoor...

With family scattered throughout the USA, we booked three rooms for a week, a 10 person family vacation and were assigned Silver Sage Lodge. The location is lovely, beautiful views from nearly every direction. There are LOADS of things for the kids to do, and we participated in most of them, canoeing, horseback riding, tubing, pool, guided hikes, loads of...
