Joyce has a smile for everyone and is a wonderful cook. Her rooms are impeccably and lovingly furnished, and you'll never be in want of anything. She keeps snack bags upstairs and chocolates in the jar in the living room. She's happy to acommodate any dietary needs, make suggestions for your daily activities, and help you book dinner reservations. We...

I’d have awarded 3.5 stars to this small B&B if the option were available. The location is good, and is particularly convenient if you’re visiting the Christmas Market or shops on 6th Street, or the Hamill House and Museum which is directly across the street. The rooms are relatively spacious, and the room we were in had a modern steam...

In fairness, I haven't been to the Silver Queen, but I've tried. My staff bought me a gift certificate for a Christmas present last year. The gift certificate expires December 31, 2012. Three weeks after getting the gift certificate, I developed an illness, and then I rather unexpectedly got divorced. I had hoped to use the gift certificate in November,...

I never thought to stay at a Bed & Breakfast, but I am sure glad I did this time. This house is restored impeccably. The home, decor, grounds, rooms are absolutely the best. I fell in love with Colorado, much because of the trip and stay to this little B&B in the gorgeous surroundings of George Town. Joyce, the owner,...

The Silver Queen was one of two B&Bs my husband and I stayed in during our short road trip through the Colorado mountains. After a pretty dismal stay at the previous B&B in Idaho Springs, Joyce's beautifully restored and appointed respite in charming Georgetown was just what we needed. We stayed for two nights in the Cora & Emil Anderson...

My wife and I enjoyed our stay, and the breakfast was very good. We liked our room, which had both a jacuzzi and a comfortable shower stall. The inn is centrally located in the heart of Georgetown, but as it is a quiet town there is no noise problem. Be advised: there is no air conditioning, so our room was...

The Silver Queen B&B is in the Rocky Mountains. Our town rarely gets as warm as 80 degrees, has very low humidity, and the nights usually drop into the 60s in the summer months. The rooms have ceiling fans and, with the windows open, are very comfortable. I also have portable fans available. Air conditioning would hardly ever be necessary...

My wife and I visited Georgetown for two days on our vacation to Colorado and this B&B was fantastic. We visit B&Bs frequently and everything was in order. The house itself is exquisitely decorated with antique or era correct replicas but not kitschy. Our host, was wonderful. Very accomodating. We hiked Mt Tory nearby and she saved breakfast for us...

When I asked my husband to select a b&b for our visit to Georgetown, I wasn't sure what he would come up with. The Silver Queen was delightful. The rooms were beautiful, beds comfy, hostess charming and food excellent. I couldn't have chosen a better b&b. Joyce, the owner, is a relocated Californian who undertook a complete renovation of the...

“Call Joyce (the owner) before booking at any site. She'll give you a better deal or hook you up with a better room for your taste. The online sites do it automatically I think.”
