Well, what can I say. Arriving at the park we were welcomed in the reception with a smile and a very friendly staff lady, after a short ins and outs of the park we opened the door to our cabin, where we found it to be very clean and tidy cabin everything in place. Staying for three days we had plenty of time to explore the park with walks around everything was very neat and tidy. Spoke to the managers with lots of ideas on where to go around Bright and further out in the great outdoors re walks, drives and lookouts of this great region. Thank you so much

This is an awesome place to visit. We pulled up with 2 vans and they gave us a map of the park marked where we couldn’t park and let us pick out the best spot for us. Have never seen a cleaner, organised camp kitchen. Toilets and showers were very clean and warm. All up it was a great experience

Myself and my 2 teenage kids stayed for 3 night in a cedar cabin. The cabin was clean, warm for when we arrived as it was a chilly rainy afternoon. Kitchen was well equip. Park was clean and welcoming. Yes it is a little bit of a drive just out of bright but that didn’t bother us as bright can be a busy little town in the holidays. It’s was quiet and peaceful location. Had all the amenities, was impressed that the laundry had a front loader, top loader and dryers( some of us are just not top loader people) was also appreciate that it was only $3 a load as previous places had been a lot more then that to use the washers.
The park backed onto the oven river which was a pretty site crystal clear. Loved the stairs down into the water would be great in summertime for a swim. If your into camping you can camp close to the river.
Staff were amazing really knowledgeable about the area and things to do loved the snow report everyday for updates. Staff went over and above to make sure you had a pleasant stay.
Added bonus was that you could hire your own fire pit for your site. Was great to sit back and relax in the afternoon, toast marshmallows with a evening beverage.

Bright Discovery Park is located 10 kilometres town In a picturesque valley alongside the Ovens River.
Sites and cabins are available for all who stay. Facilities include swimming pool, basketball and tennis court, games rooms, jumping pillow and more.
They have a great little coffee cart that opens a few days a week with barista made coffee. The park itself is so relaxing with many trees and birds around the location.
Great camp kitchen and BBQ facilities for all to use. Highly recommended

I’ve been staying in this park for over 20 years. Discovery have taken over this year, prices have increased 100%.. We are paying more than $80 a night to camp 15 minutes drive away from township. The rarely cleaned, I’ll maintained amenities block is 1/2 closed, leaving 4 Female showers and 4 toilets open for the entire park to use.. Reception is un manned.. Wifi is down.. Are you serious Discovery? A beautiful park is being poorly managed.

We had a lovely long weekend in this Discovery Park with our kids, 7 and 5. The river runs right along the back, and while this means watching the little ones, it was shallow enough for them to float (with adults at either end) from one end of the park to the other with no problems. The new deluxe cabins are extremely comfortable, nice and spacious with everything you need and a great over-sized deck to sit out and enjoy the surrounds. The pool, playground and bouncing pillow are also very well kept. We will visit again.

Fantastic facilities, beautiful surroundings. We setup tents for 4 nights as I was playing keyboard and sax at the Brighter Days festival. Made our brekkie in the camp kitchen, 2 bbq plates, oven with gas cooktop, microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge, tv and sink. All very clean. Toilets and showers look almost new. We will definitely be staying here again.

We recently stayed at Discovery Bright for five days on a fabulous, huge caravan site right on the riverbank (Site 9a) The electricity box was a quite a way from our caravan but there are extra leads available, water but there is no sullage on the site or concrete annex pad. But..being right on the riverbank was "the best". Bring your own fire pit. There is no tv reception unless you have a satellite dish but it didn't bother us in the least and there is a cosy tv lounge near the office if you feel you need to tube in. The amenities are fabulous. Showers with glass shower screens to the dressing area, and a heater above. This is a beautiful location between Bright and Harrietville. Quiet and peaceful with only the noise of the river flowing by.

Great place for powered site campers , camper trailers & caravans as all these spots are within the area that is well used & shaded. Do not stay here if you are an unpowered camper. Unless you get allocated 1 of 4 riverside spots , your stuck to a large oval that is located away from rest of the main area. The oval is riddled with rocks both underground and above. Impossible to pitch a tent. Sadly the only location i found was in an “out of park” boundaries area to pitch a tent. The park map certainly does not make this clear as its clearly highlighted as being a grassy area next to 4 riverside camp spots. I simply packed up the morning after and left. I ended up stayed at a park closer to bright. Didn’t care for fact i lost money on the other 3-4 days i still had booked there. Comfort & kindness is far more valuable than money. Wouldn’t recommend tent camping here at all unless its a powered site. If you find your self caught camping in this out of park boundaries area , be warned that you will be lectured & told off for doing so.

A friend had mentioned this park, with direct camp access to the Ovens River. The scenery is amazing and a bike track allows you to ride direct to Bright without going on the road…bonus for non serious riders. Amenities were really clean and added bonus of heaters in the amenities…pretty valuable given it was single digit temperatures. Hosts Kerrie and Paul are awesome and tipped us into trout spots along the river. Lovely venue and people.

Yes, it is a dog-friendly caravan park on camping sites; don't know about cabins.
It is also a very nice park. We enjoyed our stay there. It's a bit out of town, but nice and quiet and relaxing. (Far from the madding crowd). A river flows on the northern edge of the park and it is quite a picturesque park. There is a pool (from memory) and a children's playground. Friendly staff, too.
Hi Thanks you for your enquiry. We do have cabins with 2 bedrooms for 3 people. Please let me know what dates you require for your travel plans and I will let you kow availability. Thanks Nicole.
