If you are traveling with a dog this is a great choice. Request a ground level room that faces the river as it makes an easy in and out. The dog park is a 2 minute walk across the bridge. Lots of other dog owners so you don't feel like the odd man out!

Hotel's Favourite
I cannot day enough nice things about this place. First - the location is great and the hotel setting is beautiful. Our room was lovely and the bed so comfortable. Using the balcony was a plus. Enjoyed dinner in their restaurant. We hated to leave.

Hotel is very pretty, however, the “cute” bridge has so much traffic is drowns out the river noise. You get less of a nature feel and more of a Highway feel. It was a little different than we expected.

Dear alexisdmize, Thank you for taking the time to review your experience at the DoubleTree by Hilton Durango. I was glad to see you were able to sleep well and you experienced 5 star service and cleanliness judging by your ratings. With that being said; I apologize that your river view room balcony was noiser than the river itself. We do have an amazing location convenient to a lot of amenities and its true that the south side of the building is closer to the bridge. The water in the river is rising so the sounds of nature are only getting stronger and fortunately the road noise in a small town like Durango doesn't last long. We hope you will consider staying with us in the future when your travels bring you back to the area. Sincerely, Zach Burns General Manager DoubleTree by Hilton Durango

The hotel is nicely located. It’s right by the Animus river which has a nice trail to bike or walk. Albertsons is next door, and so is the downtown and the train station. Also, they have charging stations. The staff is very friendly and they’ll make your trip comfortable. The room was spacious and had an air filter, which is great. A few things I noticed was that the shower wall had some mold spots, which is not ideal for an ultra clean room. They are tiny spots here are there and I noticed it on the last day. I let the staff know. The air filter would make so much noise at night that I needed to turn it off at times. Small things which can be improved.

Dear khajra, Thank you for the 4 star review of the DoubleTree by Hilton Durango! I am so glad to hear you enjoyed our amazing location across the street from the Historic Durango Silverton Narrow Gauge Train and all the shopping and dining that Historic Downtown Durango has to offer! The hotel location along the banks of the scenic Animas River is AMAZING and especially right now in Spring as the water levels are rising! I am glad you were able to take advantage of our electric car charging stations and that our team members took great care of you! I would like to connect with you offline on your guest room feedback as I take cleanliness very seriously. We appreciate your feedback and look forward to hosting you again in the future!
