The people working there were professional and very friendly. The rooms are large and have very nice views. If you are going snowboarding this is a good place to stay. It is outside of town closer to the mountains, so you can avoid the city in the am. Also you have all the the space in the world for your...

We upgraded to track side and the view was really nice. There are two rooms, but no real privacy as the upstairs is more of a loft. This is not a fancy hotel, you will have to bring your own blow dryer and coffee maker. Also, there is no sofa, just a small table and chairs. The first room we...

My family recently stayed for one night (New Years Eve). It was a last minute trip and we was excited to find a great rate at a property so close to Pergatory that had spacious rooms and a wood burning fireplace. I was extremely disappointed with our selection... Very run down, carpet was dirty, and the smell of smoke was...

Comfortable and spacious, 2nd bed in upstairs loft provided space and a little privacy, so we did not feel cramped. Good location at edge of town, giving access to mountains and scenery as well as easy access to town and restaurants.

This place was really nice and clean. I loved the area and how great the service was and always helpful. I would recommend it and I will be back to that place again. My family liked it and enjoyed the stay.

My family recently stayed with Iron Horse Inn for 5 days in December. It has a great location, decently sized rooms, and a good breakfast room. The front desk manager might be the friendliest, nicest woman I have ever met in my life; she made any of the deficiencies of the lodging fade away. My complaints are minor: it is...

Very disappointing considering the good reviews. We booked this last December and had our reservation cancelled by the hotel the week before arrival because they were "renovating ". If this is renovated I would hate to see it before. The place is tired and needs work. Our beds were like sleeping on a granite slab. Place is noisy and their...

While the rooms could use some updating, it was overshadowed by the affordability, location, and incredible hospitality. We took my 5yr old to Durango for The Polar Express. The staff could not have been kinder and truly went out of their way to make our stay as wonderful as possible. I have already decided we will be making another trip...

I am a mother of two Teens travelling through Durango, CO. Decided to make a stop for the night. Iron Horse took about 3 minutes to book online. When we arrived, we were met by Jupiter, the very friendly dog in the lobby area, and an equally friendly gentleman at the front desk. He knew exactly who I was even...

Friendly staff. Clean rooms. We had 5 people and it was a tight fit, but do-able with the rollaway. I would stay there again. The website didn't advertise it, but there is a breakfast available. It was the standard breakfast.

“If you are planning to use the kitchen to cook meals, they provide very basic supplies. A few pots, pans, cooking utensils and plates, bowls, mugs and utensils. No knives, mixers, can openers or other gadgets. Just FYI!”

“We reserved a room facing the railroad and a gorgeous valley view. This is something we enjoyed, but you must be advised that the train is fairly close to the room, and it sounds its horn as it chugs past the hotel at night. The website description is forthcoming about this information, but I just wanted to mention it again. ”
