Stayed overnight. Just electric site, must fill tank at host station prior to going up the mountain to site. Pit toilets. No dump near camp site. Right at dusk, gun fire started ringing out, not sure if it was hunters or target practice but I wasn't going to investigate.

Met up with my family from Phoenix here. Really close to town, but far enough away that you feel like you're in the middle of nowhere. The hosts were very nice & accommodating, and the bathrooms were kept very clean. The only downside is that there are ticks, but that should be expected in the woods. We used anti tick...

We camp in an 17 foot trailer quite often and found this campground among the best in Colorado. We stayed in Loop E, Site 1. I believe Loop E is the only one that has electric. The sites in E were all spacious, spread out and offering privacy. The camp ground is within one mile of access to the Colorado...

Our family of four stayed in our pop up camper in Loop E site 11 for three nights in July 2016. Pros: -gorgeous setting with lush landscape, tall trees and quiet setting -really affordable as we paid only around $25/night -conveniently located from Durango as it's only 10 minutes or so to the edge of town -campsites are spread out...

We just spent eight nights here. The campsite is beautiful, the campground host very nice. Cleanest pit toilets we have ever seen. No cell phone access (ATT and Sprint). Firewood very reasonable from campground host. The campground was very quiet. There is a nearby stream you can walk to, and it was beautiful and refreshing.

nice campground, well maintained. Hosts were great a had a load of information. I stayed at loop E in site 1. Wonderful site, had elec. lots of deer in campground. No sewer dump but the city of Durango has one at the visitor center. With my senior pass I only paid $51 for 3 days with the electric! I will...

The couple hosting the campground were super cool about recommending the best sites and didn't come round constantly to tell us to put our dogs on leash which was pretty refreshing. Nice clean amenities.

We reserved site 4 online. When we got there site 4 didn't have enough tree coverage to help protect from the possible rain. We asked the camp host if we could move to site 5 and he was happy to oblige. The camping was great. Some road noise. LOTS of stream noise (nice). The pit toilets were the cleanest I...

The campground itself was fine, nice spot not too close to others with a picnic table and fire pit. Access to the Colorado Trail, (though the access point near the entrance to the campground which is kind of annoying) which was beautiful and an easy hike. The bathrooms were way cleaner than I expected and somehow smelled good. At one...

This is the way camping should be. This is a lush campground in thick tall pine forest. It's set in the hills/cliffs high above the actual creek for which it was named. Very spacious, level, shaded sites with decent privacy between sites provided by trees. The campground hosts drive around to greet you and check you in at your site....
