Very spacious sleeping/personal space (much roomier than a hotel). Basically like staying in a house (bathroom, bedroom, common area). Everything about this place was wonderful - a change of pace from a hotel in the city. A very comfortable and clean dude ranch. I recommend for any family or couple looking for something new, exciting, and different. Lots of activities...

Mention a dude ranch holiday to the rest of my family and it's fair to say that their reactions ranged from horror to lukewarm. But it was always an aspiration of mine so they humored me. Even on the (beautiful) drive on the way to the ranch from Aspen, I worried about their ability to really enjoy the experience. What...

This vacation was our fourth to a dude ranch. We all had a good time, despite the rain. Great food at every meal. Not a great food selection for our picky eater kids...but that we expected, so we stocked up in Durango before we arrived at the ranch. One note I'd like to share....all the cabins on the ranch are...

We were looking for a great place to ride horses and unplug. We found it. We loved being able to ride as much as we wanted and were impressed with the staff and service. The food was incredible. The adults were looking forward to not having phone, Internet and tv but we were a bit worried about the kid unplugging...

This was our first dude ranch experience and it was a great time during horseman's week. Even with their season winding down and a reduced staff, the service and activities did not suffer. Activities were properly spaced, horses and their care great, food excellent, and accommodations we updated and comfortable. My non-riding wife learned to fly-fish and landed 32 trout...

We love Colorado Trails. We have had many visits, and each year it gets better and better. The updates and renovates have been first rate. Every year the core staff, Jeanne, Brett, Mike and Brian are fabulous, but they really know how to find exceptional seasonal staff as well. One of my favorite things about CTR is that the gusts...

I traveled to CTR for horseman's week. I loved it there. It's beautiful country, the people were wonderful, the food was amazing, my cabin was comfortable, my horse Stormy was the best. When I say it's all in the details I mean that every effort is made to make your stay at the ranch the best it can be. Every...

It does not require many words. This year we came to CTR for the third time. And we will be back! Team, horses, food, cabins, atmosphere, feeling, management, program: Outstanding, a class of its own.

Stayed a week in mid-August. Food, facilities, activities, staff, management, horses, fishing and scenery were all excellent. Lots of wildlife on the property (rabbits, turkey, deer, hummingbirds, etc) and a petting zoo with big rabbits and small goats for the kids. Experienced, friendly and fun counselors for the kids allow the the adults to enjoy the activities separately from the...

The other reviews are accurate based on our recent experience. But this may be the most significant factor in why this was a fantastic family vacation. The first three days we saw the children(ages 8 - 11) in our group (3 families) in the morning, maybe at lunch, and at the end of the day. This allowed the adults to...
