My wife and I stayed over for one night while driving from the Grand Canyon to Denver. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. The Aspen Room was lovely, clean and comfortable. The house is on three acres, nestled into a little valley with beautiful mountain views and an isolated, private, comfortable feel. Every detail was perfect. Common...

My husband and I stayed here rather than down in town and absolutely loved it! The room was fine, nothing special, but the back deck was the big draw for me. On the website there is a photo of their back deck which overlooks the mountains and I could just picture myself sitting there with a glass of wine or...

My husband and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary at Country Sunshine Bed and Breakfast in their "Sunny Oaks" room. This suite was complete with a jetted tub, fireplace, sitting room & open views to the quaint and secluded woodsy backyard. Wild life was nearby & we felt as if we had our own corner of the property- secluded for...

We needed a place to stay in Durango at the end of our trip after visiting a good friend in Colorado who was very ill. I looked online and found the Country Sunshine B&B. I liked their website right away - attractive, organized and very descriptive. There was just one room left for the weeknight we inquired about - Writer's...

We sincerely enjoyed our three-night stay at the County Sunshine B&B. The B&B is about 12 miles North of Durango in a peaceful country setting. The attention dedicated to each guest by Jody and Walter is exceptional. From the moment we walked in the door, Jody and Walter were there to provide recommendations and go out of their way to...

A wonderful B & B set in the countryside about 15 mins north of town. Very good quality B & B with added extras that made it great value for money. Free drinks & good coffee on tap. Walter's desserts awaited your return in the evening and his breakfasts were superb. All in all a quality B & B.

This is absolutely the best b&b we stay at anywhere in the country. Walter & Jody treat you like family. The place is immaculate, the rooms are roomy & have everything you need & more. Walter's culinary creations each morn are incredible. They also offer home-baked cookies all the time as well as more of his creations for dessert in...

I would give this B&B 6 stars if I could, it's really that good. It's cozy, friendly, charming and very well appointed. It has all you need for a great stay in the mountains, and more. What's most important to me is how generous they are: free drinks (even wine and local beers) in the fridge, free quality coffee, free...

We stayed two nights in early June, having booked ourselves into Utah all too soon... we should have stayed all ten days here! If you are looking for a heart warming experience in a friendly, welcoming, and casual/comfortable setting, this is your spot! But as always, its the people who make the difference. Walter's breakfasts were works of art -...

Stayed here with my gf while visiting Durango. Location is excellent if you're looking for some peace and quiet. Walter and Jodi are amazing hosts, and every detail is paid attention to. Every morning, Walter cooks up a new delicious breakfast dish, as well as dessert in the evening. Everything is included, even drinks and wine. The house has a...
