If you want to enjoy European charm in the middle of the Wild West you will want to spend some time relaxing at this Bed and Breakfast. Suzy's breakfast menu overflows with yummy, hardy, old-fashioned comfort food. The rooms are a bit small; a couple of the rooms share a bath. However, what they lack in size they make up... More

My husband and I could not have been happier when staying in Dolores. Perfect location to experience the town and its people. This historic hotel is across from town square, and in walking distance to the local brewery, museum, River Trail and Park. Susi is kind and a great hostess and cook. Her relaxed and friendly attitude makes you feel... More

This hotel is an historic site, having been in business since 1893. The owner/operator is a friendly person with a heart of gold. Suzie could not have been more accommodating. Planned to stay just one night and stayed for two. Wished I had more time in my schedule to stay even longer. Fellow guests were friendly and helpful, especially the... More

the rio grasne was the second hotel we stayed at out of 6 hotels during our stay out west. The rio grande was by far the best. It's quaint and dog friendly so you meet a lot of new friends furry and not furry. The owners Susie and Joe go out of their way to make sure your stay is... More

If you are looking for a quaint, home-style retreat with tons of history and a small town atmosphere, this is it. We enjoyed our day trips to Mesa Verde and surrounding area, but mornings and evenings were always pleasant. Visitors often stopped by the kitchen/dining room (one day they couldn't find the catsup because a neighbor had borrowed it) and... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here two nights as a jumping-off point to Mesa Verde. It could not have been better! The room was clean and adorably decorated (we stayed in the Zane Grey, where a copy of one of his books was on the shelf). The owners went out of their way to accommodate us. When we needed to... Never been to a B & B before , we thought it would be an interesting experience, Plus the guy at the visitor center said it might be haunted lol, good way to add to the fun. Big mansion filled with 17 rooms, house was amazingly interesting, the structure, decore, old style bathtub and overall feeling of being in an... More

Our club hosted a dog show in Dolores so I needed to be close. The hotel was built in the 1800s and the rooms are quaint and very well kept. They owners were so kind to give me a tour of the rooms and lots of great historical facts of the hotel. Since I was here for the dog show,... More

My wife and I stayed in the Pink Room which was cozy and warm. All the rooms on the 2nd floor are decorated in individual themes. The hotel was clean. Although the restaurant is not open to the general public, guests are served a tasty and filling breakfast. If you shun the impersonal, plastic and chrome corporate motels, the Rio... More

This was one of life's great surprise . We lucked on to this B&B in Dolores. Susi was one of the B&B best hostess ever. You have to try the breakfast to believe. Stayed in Teddy Roosevelt room and next to Zane Grey room . This is where he wrote "RIDERS OF PURPLE SAGE." Outstanding experience. Loved the stay.
