I stayed at the Holiday Inn Cherry Creek because all the modestly priced downtown hotels were fully booked the weekend I spent in Denver. Also, I'm an IHG member, and I was hoping for (although certainly not counting on) some extras--and a few membership points....More

Our sincerest apologies for the inconveniences experienced during your stay. This is not indicative of our property nor our chain. We appreciate your business and stay. Once again, our apologies for the lack of service follow up.
The people were nice, room was clean, bed was comfortable. TV did not have adequate channels and having to walk up seven flights of stairs is completely unacceptable. We won't be back since there are many other properties in the area.
Thank Dede A

We took the train/light rail to stop, where the hotel shuttle picked us up. Just be very clear about which stop/intersection they are going to pick you up at. We had some miscommunication, got off the train too early, and had to wait for the next one, to reboard, after a phone conversation informed us we were too far from the hotel yet, for the driver to pick us up. The train costs a flat 9 dollars each. See website and railmap on the website rtd-denver lightrail website. (I tried to embed URL, but Trip advisor won't allow it.)
You will change trains at Union Station to H,E or F lines and get off at Colorado Ave. All 3 lines stop there, they just run at different times. There is some walking to do at Union station to find the desired platform, so be sure you can lug your luggage OK. There is space on the train for luggage.
