In July of 2015, we were lucky and able to get a same day reservation to stay in this labor of love. We stayed in a clean, comfortable room above the front parlor, and enjoyed the claw foot bath tub, and lovely fireplace, amazing ceiling work, a very comfortable bed, and we glad to have a small toilet, and a...

The mansion itself and our room were quite nice. We enjoyed the lovingly restored touches in the room and the jacuzzi tub, and the room was comfortable, close to where we needed to be, and unique. It seems like they've given up on the service end though. We didn't see or meet a single staff member during our visit- just...

We spent the night and attended the dinner theater. It was a very memorable and pleasant evening. It is especially worthwhile for those who are interested in turn of the century homes and Victorian architecture. The mansion has been carefully restored and had modern amenities such as a jacuzzi tub and a modern shower. The bed was very comfortable, and...

Not a B & B - no breakfast (small print on website) No A/C in June in Denver - unacceptable. Not even screens on windows. Much of info outdated - there is no breakfast available! In a 3 night stay, NO maid service - NOTHING touched in room ever. As of June 2015, inn is For Sale as owners concentrate...

to be clear, I am reviewing the entertainment not the facility as a bed-and-breakfast. The show we saw was "America's got murder" based on the TV show America's got talent. It was dinner theater and a laugh riot from the minute we walked in the door till the show is over. The meal was unexpectedly good, with the choice between...

I don't normally write reviews for anything but I felt that we had such a great experience that it is needed! My family and I stayed the night and went to the Casino Night Heist and we couldn't have asked for a better experience! Walt, the owner of the Lumber Baron made us feel welcome from the moment we walked...

This B&B is amazing! We did the upgraded breakfast delivered to our room and it was delicious! Continental breakfast is free where the upgrade with meat & eggs is an additional $7.50 a person. The free wi-fi, flat-screen TV, and iPad were the perfect technology houses to this otherwise classic mansion. The beds were comfortable and the in-room Jacuzzi was...

I would definitely recommend this bed-and-breakfast to anyone wishing to stay in Denver. The whole staff was great very polite and courteous and make sure our needs were met. The best place ever to watch Dowton Abbey.

My daughter and I attended their Murder Mystery dinner and had a really great time. I have to admit the show is "corny", but not in the" roll of the eyes corny", but fun and good laughs corny! You couldn't help but like the owner and his fellow actors, really nice peeps. The dinner was good and the setting was...

A night at the Lumber Baron is a memorable mini-adventure one should try, especially if you enjoy something other than only modern B & B's--or maybe, especially if you have never stayed in anything but them! A few years ago we stayed in another Victorian bed/breakfast in the Colorado mountains, and just loved that--so decided to try this one in...
