My husband and I have stayed at Pioneer in the Wild Rose (February 2017) and Red Fox (January 2018) cabins. They are each so unique and well appointed, the beds are cozy and comfortable. It is very quiet around the cabins except for the noises...More

We just love the Pioneer Cabins. They are in a quiet location - away from the hustle bustle of highway traffic and town traffic in Crested Butte. They are a great getaway for relaxation, hiking, biking or just staying around the area and enjoying all...More

Thank you for coming! We hope to see you again soon.
We love the Pioneer Cabins. Early 20th century ski cabins that sit far away from Crested Butte to feel secluded but close enough to easily do all of the town activities. The cabins are wonderful. We have visited the Pioneer three times and will return...More

Cabins face onto a little gravel road on the property, and are in sight of each other, but widely spaced, so that you don't feel very near your neighbor. Some are beyond a curve in the road. That might make them seem more private. Area is nicely wooded and shady. We stayed in Wild Rose. One room with bed, sofa and chairs, good-sized kitchen and bathroom. Nothing fancy, rustic and somewhat whimsically decorated, but very charming and comfortable. We thought it was a great choice in June 2017.
