This was our first Bed and Breakfast experience. We were greeted at the door by Wayne and welcomed by warm lighting and soft music playing throughout the hacienda. With a quick tour and introduction to his wife Carol, we settled in to an amazing 2 days. The Baja room that we stayed in was warm and very comfortable. We slept...

I had been looking for a different place to spend some time with my Bride on the weekend of our 40 anniversary. Having never before stayed at a B&B I looked for different places. Hughes Hacienda was the spot I finally chose at the last minute. Wayne was very accommodating to the late reservation. We spent 2 days. Our room...

We have stayed in 132 B & Bs in the U.S., Canada, The United Kingdom, and various European countries. Hughes Hacienda is my favorite. Set on a mountainside, it has a Mexican influenced simplicity of design and decor with subdued colors, terra cotta tiled floors, and pieces of woven leather furniture. The outdoor court, as well as patios and porches,...

From the moment we arrived we were in awe of both the setting and the accomodations. We stayed in the baja room and the view was spectacular. There was wonderful music playing throughout the Hacineda. The decor was an amazing selection of items that blended perfectly into the beautiful mountain setting. The breakfast was absolutley exquisite, and the setting on...

We have been staying in B&Bs for years, so our expectations are usually pretty high. Hughes Hacienda exceeded our expectations. It was so peaceful and private. Wayne and Carol was such wonderful hosts. Wayne's breakfasts were to die for! What a great presentation--I still think he must be a chef (although he would never admit to it)! We stayed in...

One of the loveliest places we have stayed while on vacation! Serene and secluded from the hustle bustle of the city, this place drew us in, the minute we walked into the tastefully landscaped courtyard of this hidden “Hacienda”. The owners Wayne and Carol were both very gracious, exceled in service and hospitality, and it was obvious from the way...

Wayne and Carol are great. The house is absolutely beautiful, and the views were exquisite. Our room had a balcony overlooking the mountains, and we enjoyed morning tea and coffee out there every day...and one afternoon rain shower! The breakfasts are incredible, served on the veranda overlooking the mountains. The presentation was as pleasing as the taste of the meals....

My husband and I recently stayed at Hughes Hacienda and found it to be a truly outstanding oasis. The bed and breakfast is located on the most incredibly scenic and peaceful mountain acreage. The views from their patios are just stunning. We booked the Baja room which is very well appointed with guest comfort in mind and offers a private...
