Our fully self-contained resort apartments in Mission Beach, QLD, are fully air conditioned with open plan kitchen / dining and lounge areas which lead out through French doors onto your own private outdoor area. Mission Beach is one of Queensland’s most beautiful holiday locations. Nestled amongst sugar-cane and banana plantations, Mission Beach is surrounded by a World Heritage listed rainforest which runs along a 14 km coastline of tropical beaches that will make you feel as if you’re truly isolated on a secluded island. Mission Beach is known for its untouched beauty, it’s incredibly close proximity to the Great Barrier Reef (making it perfect for diving and snorkeling), and its large population of the famous cassowaries wandering around the rain forest.

Our apartment was absolute beach front though sadly the weather wasn't particularluy pleasant with a strong on-shore wind dampening our spirits a little. The accommodation was satisfactory, well presented though perhaps a little on the tired side (a leaking roof during a rain shower). Good undercover car parking was a bonus as is its proximity to the Mission Beach eateries. Our unit was particularly well thought out with the upstairs bedroom leading out on to a balcony. A new Weber Q BBQ is included, a great addition. Pity about the weather, but we would reuse the accommodation.

We stayed in apartment 2 for 4 nights in November and absolutely loved it. It is beach front with magnificent views over to Dunk Island. Pool area was clean, large and enticing. The apartment had everything you needed plus more and is on 2 levels. Large supermarket close by. Attended local yoga classes which were a bonus. And spotted a cassowary. Thoroughly recommeded.

This was a girls holiday, myself, my sister and daughter. We flew into Cairns picked up a rental car and drove to Wongaling Beach, about a 2 hour drive but easy to find. We stayed in apartment 4,for 6 nights. It had two decks, one overlooking the beach and Dunk Island and the other a nice sheltered deck at the side of the unit. It was a two bedroom apartment, lovely and spacious, clean and tidy. Lovely and quite area. Down the road and there were several restaurants, although we drove it would only be about a 10 minute walk. There are more restuarants at Mission Beach but definitely need a car to get to these. Large supermarket was a short drive away and next to that was a liquor store, probably a little far to walk. Lovely big swimming pool available, and the grounds were nice and tidy. If you are looking for a nice quiet relaxed holiday away from the hussle and bussle, with the most beautiful beach, where you can walk for miles then this is the place for you. . The sunrise and sunset from the deck were just beautiful. I would not hesitate to return.

This apartment could be fully luxurious but requires a couple of things to match the pricetag. No aircon in bedrooms. No tv in master bedroom. We stayed in apt 5 not sure what the other apts have. Great location and views. On the beach. Also only 1 bathroom and toilet. No ensuite. Made this trip a bit of a disappointment for the price. Wifi internet is so weak it's not worth using bring your own

Spent 4 nights at these beautiful. relaxing,peaceful, absolute beachfront apartments. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment that consisted of a downstairs living area with kitchen and an upstairs bedroom, bathroom and laundry rooms. Both upstairs and downstairs have balconies that offer magnificent views of the Coral Sea and Dunk Island. All modern appliances are provided with tv's both upstairs and downstairs and there's Austar movies and sport if you want a lazy afternoon/ a selection of DVD's, CD's and books were also provided. The pool is a good size and sun chairs and a bbq area are provided. There are three restaurants within walking distance but a car would be advantageous as the shops and other restaurants are a few kilometers away . You can catch a water taxi over to Dunk Island from the beachfront about 300 metres north of the apartments. The spiral staircase may prove difficult for an elderly person but I don't think staircases are in all the apartments as I think some are on one level only. Contact the apartments directly for rates as they vary during the year and with the length of your stay.

First stayed here in 1986. Amazing how it’s held up and still superb on every count. Came when there was a manager family on site, now it’s managed by the gals at Tropical Property who are professional, efficient, just great. All the check-in details are contact-free, cover every detail and always ready to help. Can’t quite explain how beautiful this beach is, how fabulous the beachfront views of Dunk and the smaller islands are, and the two best units (8 & 9) for couples. More than ‘units’, they are bright, large spacious apartments with timber casements and louvres all around and the many windows and bifold doors. It all feels very FNQ, very tropical getaway. All amenities you’d need for a week or two-week stay provided. Appliances near new (in #8), beds are firm with crisp linens, tons of fluffy towels, newish refurbished bathroom with good shower heads (in #8), lots of hot water, good pressure, lovely airy cane/rattan furniture. Streaming TV (good for rainy days), and lots of tasteful decorative items and artwork. New aircon in lounge (reverse for colder nights). The cleaning crew keeps the apartments spotless, and there’s tons of cleaning products for longer stays. Grounds are kept immaculate and it all adds to that tropical getaway feel. Amazing how a resort complex can go the distance over the decades – through Larry & Yasi – and not lose its quality, ambience, and of course you can never mess with the views. Beach is wide at low tide, usually empty except for a few morning and evening walkers. Now that Dunk’s been sold again, with the possibility of a dramatic ‘eco’ renewal after the last investor debacle, come and enjoy now before the pre-Olympics rush is on in the next few years.

This place is great, we stayed in Unit 3, right above the pool. Unit 3 is a 3 bedroom unit, but to call it a unit is unfair. This is the size of a generous 3 bedroom home.
The living area is massive and you have another massive deck at your disposal, all tiled, with beautiful views of Dunk Island.
The nice touches were the welcome pack and the music playing as we entered, not our type of music, but relaxing, soft and just right.
Some little touches were not so nice, the place was clean, but not perfectly so, 10 dirty Easter eggs wrappers in the kids bedside table drawers, some with chocolate still on them. The kids rooms (rooms with twin beds) were not as clean as the rest of the property. Not dirty by any means but the louvres (all timber) and surrounds were very dirty/dusty. For children with hay fever issues, not ideal, but certainly not a deal breaker.
Unfortunately there was no mention of a credit card fee until after we booked in a confirmation email sent to us. $13 added on to the $650. This is annoying as we booked over the phone and should have been told, again, not a deal breaker. Book with another online agency and you don’t get stung the extra fees to get the same unit.
Parking in a large car is terrible, if you are over 2.1m forget about it. Very narrow parks surrounded by huge concrete pillars. We parked undercover the first night but on the street the second.
Overall, this place is awesome, a 9 out of 10. So many things done wonderfully, the appliances (not high end but functional), the furniture was lovely. It is very relaxing, in a wonderful part of Far North Queensland. I would go back in a heartbeat, but I would book with a different agent to avoid those little fees.

These apartments are advertised as luxury but unfortunately they are badly maintained. We stayed for 8 nights in apartment 4 and during that time we had a broken airconditioner in the living/kitchen area which was not working when we arrived and Tropical Properties who manage the apartments, advised that it wouldn't be fixed during our stay, the ensuite shower flooded into the apartment below, light bulbs were blown, the kitchen tap was very loose which we fixed. This accommodation has excellent potential but unless they are maintained properly, they are not luxury

We headed to Mission beach for a friends wedding!!
When opening the door to our two bedroom apartment with out realising I swore with utter disbelief!! It was beautiful clean relaxing!! Very well furnished
Family friendly, beautiful pool beach side apartment! I honestly couldn't fault this place!!!

We stayed at Mission Beach while visiting friends andcouldn't have chosen a better spot. The apartment was spacious and well fitted out. The view from the balcony of Dunk Island was stunning. None of the apartments face into each other giving a true sense of privacy. A real slice of paradise.
