Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Decent resort/hotel. Neighbours can be noisy if you have a motel room. Shared balcony isn’t ideal as you need to keep curtains closed for privacy. Rooms are only serviced weekly. Whilst no issue to us it should be made more clear during booking and the tiny piece of soap they provide for a week is a little offensive. Decent, quiet location but need to drive to shops/eateries. Rooms are ok although the bed and blankets have seen better days. I’d certainly stay again and was pretty good for the price.

This is an older motel but clearly the owners care - even though the kitchen and living room furniture need an update, the walls appeared recently painted, and the sheets were very clean. There were pops of color in the throw pillows and paintings on the wall, and it is evident there is pride in the property. We also felt it was very reasonably priced.

We arrived late and the key was taped to the reception door with a friendly 'Welcome' scrawled on the envelope.

Everything was very clean with one exception - the ancient ceiling fan in the bedroom! Maybe easy to overlook when cleaning.

Unfortunately we were only here for one night and didn't get to try the pool, but the pool and reception area looked really friendly.

Clean, large family rooms with friendly staff
Great Bbq area around the pool with good seating for everyone. Having a separate spa from the pool was also a welcome addition.
A short 5 minute drive to mission beach we found mission reef resort comfortable and good value for money

We only stayed here for one night, but we wish we had stayed for longer. The management were fantastic. There was terrible accident on the highway which meant there was a town-wide black out. The managers quickly came around with torches and asked if we needed anything at all. We were able to cook dinner on the gas bbq's and the resort provide everything you could possibly need (oils, salt, pepper, cooking and cleaning utensils). Once our power came back on, we realised the kitchens and bathrooms were also fully-stocked with all cooking and cleaning necessities as well. The next morning, we went for a walk along the beautiful beach and our toddler played in the council free water play area. Great location, very quiet resort, fantastic management- everything you could want for a peaceful stay away from home.

The resort is located one street back from the beach and presented as a simple, clean small hotel room with a microwave and basic cutlery and plates. It represented good value for money. The manager was friendly and helpful with recommendations about the local area. The wifi in the room is nearly non-existent, but the manager identified two spots in the resort where the signal was strong.

All round value with mega sized rooms!

I stayed here with a larger group, and Leanne the proprietor did an incredible job looking after our group booking and needs. Nothing was too difficult, despite some annoying changes (from our end!).

The rooms are H U G E!. We even had a washing machine and clothes drier which was incredibly helpful for group members.

The only (minor) issue is that cyclone fortification of the building means you can't get mobile phone reception in your room

If you're thinking of using the room for business, you won't get phone or internet reception. You'll have to sit at the tables at the front of reception.

Otherwise we lived everything about this great value, super clean. and friendly place. We'll definately be back!!

We were amazed when we were shown to our room, it was so big, and with more facilities than we expected. you could happily live there which is unusual for holiday accommodation. There was a full size fully equipped kitchen, large lounge and separate large bedroom. There were even free to use laundry facilities in the room which I wasn't expecting as we'd just paid to use laundry facilities at our previous stop.
We didn't use the hotel pool or spa but they looked good.
The hotel was in a quiet area just a minute or so walk from the beach and close to the resort facilities.
Only downside I can find is that we only stayed for one night.

We had a 1 bed apartment.
Really clean!
Queen size bed was two mattresses together so slightly uncomfortable.
Aircon worked great in the rooms.
Kitchen well stocked with everything needed.
Washing machine and dryer inside apartment was helpful.
Pool was really clean and lovely to sit around.
Staff were really welcoming and friendly.
Would recommend having a car as it is slightly too far to walk to town and leaves you with little freedom - taxis fares can add up!

We stayed for three nights in Apartment 6A.It was well appointed with everything we needed to self cater; and had a very comfortable big bed. The pool area is just outside and has a fantastic bbq area
The location is excellent, midway between Mission and South Mission Beach, with Woolworths, coffee shops and restaurants within a five minute drive
