Mission Beach Shores is absolutely beautiful. Set in an amazing tropical garden setting, with a beautiful resort style pool. Our chalet is airy, relaxing and perfectly clean. The king bed is huge, and the chalet also has a single bed with pull-out bed underneath. The kitchen has most of what you’d need, including a small BBQ plate outside. The verandah is a lovely place to sit and relax. The pool is lovely, clean and a great heat. Mission Beach Shores is directly across the road from a spectacular beach. There is a fish and chip shop at the caravan park only a few minutes walk away, and more shops about 5 mins drive away. Kerrie greeted us with friendly enthusiasm and lots of information, which was a great start to our first visit to Mission Beach. If I’m ever back in the area, I won’t stay anywhere else.…
Highly recommend this place, the rooms are modern and clean and the chalets have a great atmosphere having their own private areas. Large bed was also a bonus. Will definitely stay here again. Kerrie was lovely and looked after us through our stay.
We stumbled upon the Shores when arriving at Mission beach with no plans and several days to spend we were so happy we found this gem - took us back to our Bali holidays the villa was just lovely very clean and tidy and everything one could want is supplied - aircon- ceiling fans inside and out - good cooking facilities beautiful gardens and a great pool - has a guest laundry and with only 3 villas to let had a great private feeling - the manager was lovely and could not help enough with information on the area and places of interest that we had no idea existed - hope to return next year now
What a fantastic place to stay in Mission. Rooms are spacious and clean, great table and daybed, you relax as soon as you arrive, staff are so friendly as well. It’s a little piece of tropical paradise
We find this motel by the beach with a little difficulty. Kerry with help of dog Dougall gives us an enthusiastic welcome. We have a king sized bed in a lovely chalet unit. It is a large square room complete with kitchen and en suite and very tastefully and completely appointed. The main door opens out onto a covered verandah with outdoors furniture, and the whole chalet is surrounded by lush garden and palm planting. There is car parking and an attractive swimming pool forms part of the complex. Shopping is close by. If you cross the road you are on the beach. Obviously 5 stars, so why am I contemplating 4? The wifi is the problem. In fact my Optus phone reception is pitiful, and the offered free wifi can only be accessed from the verandah or out in the garden! Even there it is so slow and intermittent as to be useless. So if phone and internet connection are of no concern to you, this is an ideal place to stay. Otherwise ... .…
We were regular visitors to Shores many moons ago and only stopped coming because we had other destinations to explore. When we decided to come back to Mish there was only one place we wanted to try. It has changed a little with a lovely onsite manager who could not have been any more helpful or accommodating. The secret to this place is its size. Only 3 bungalows means almost guaranteed peace and quiet. All are exactly the same and have everything you will need for your stay. Huge bed, full size fridge, pots, pans, dishes, etc, etc. Great pool and gardens. Across the road from one the best beach walks you will ever do and only minutes drive to full service supermarket, petrol station and restaurants, shops, and cafes.
We stayed here recently when we got flooded out of our accommodation in Daintree, we booked it and literally arrived 3 hours later, Kerri, who looks after the villas gave us a lovely welcome and was extremely helpful throughout our stay. There are just 3 bungalows and all very peaceful, private and a lovely covered outdoor seating area looking out onto tropical gardens. The bungalow was very well stocked with useful essentials. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and found it excellent value for money.
Opposite nice quiet beach. Restaurant and cafe walking distance close by but most things are just a few minutes drive away. Beautiful beach to walk on. 3 villas, all exactly the same with massive king bed and indoor and outdoor lounge. Each villa has a full size fridge, microwave and fully stocked kitchenette. Each room is very private from the next and only steps from the pool. Good for couples or maybe family with small children. Great water park for kids just up the road.
We booked in here for 1 night and I wish we’d stayed longer. Only 3 little bungalows made this a perfect place for a peaceful stay. Everything you could need was here, even insect repellent. The day bed on the veranda was a great place to sit with a glass of wine and listen to the sea and the birds. The bed was huge, and really comfortable. We’ll definitely be back!
Stayed here during the Xmas period as another venue mucked up our booking, Kerri was extremely helpful and friendly. She looks after the place by herself now as her husband is quite ill and does a great job. This place is really lovely with 4 chalets in a landscaped garden and a swimming pool. Ours was up the back and called Manta Ray Bay. Modern amenities though our air conditioner did nothing to cool the room down and some fittings were broken or rusty. It would be good if the folding door to the bathroom closed properly as well. The beds were extremely comfortable and the kitchenette was great for cooking. We did not use the BBQ area outside as it was far too hot and also to avoid being bitten by mosquitoes. Each chalet has its own carpark area and are all on ground level. It is only a short walk to the chalets for taking luggage/bags to the room. Also, inspite of what it says, there is no wifi here. No mention of it whatsoever and I had to hotspot my phone to get on the internet. Be warned, as this is a tropical environment, if you leave ANY food out in the room, or do not wash your cups and dishes soon after using them, you will get ants crawling everywhere. There are also creepy crawlies like cockroaches and geckos. I'm a biologist so don't mind this, but others wouldn't be so tolerant. There is also a coin laundry for guests which costs $3 to use the washing machine which takes a large load and powder laundry detergent is provided. Came in very handy to wash our clothes. This is not a hotel so the chalets are not serviced daily or towels changed. There is a a Woolworths supermarket up the road, about 2 minutes drive away. I'd stay here again, but only if the price was reduced. Was extremely expensive compared to other accommodation venues in the area and did not include breakfast in the tariff.…
