We arrived at 3 in the afternoon and saw that there was a free wallaby and cassowary tour so we signed up for that, which was good as it was free but the guide wasn't very enthusiastic! The rooms were clean and comfortable, we paid for air con which worked really well. Kitchen was very big with plenty of cooking...

Upon arrival the weather was amazing and the staff were very helpful ensuring that we knew where everything was. The next few days however were miserable which resulted in the only thing you can do in mission beach (to see the beach) could not happen. However the hostel did have a TV room with a selection of DVDs to chose...

We stayed in an 8 bed dorm for one night and it was great. Plenty of showers, nice outdoor pool and friendly staff. Woolworth's was closed when we arrived as it was a Sunday but the hostel put on a free BBQ so that no-one went hungry. Great hostel!

Having just stayed here for 2 nights I can honestly say it has been the best hostel so far on the east coast. the staff are friendliest hostel staff we have come across and the hostel is the cleanest hostel we have stayed in. Woolworths and bottle shop are a 2 minute walk away and the skydive centre is less...

If you're travelling alone it can get a little lonely sometimes but as soon as I walked into Absolute everyone was so friendly and made me feel welcome instantly. All the staff were amazing, though I know most of them have moved on since I was there I'm sure the new bunch will be just as great. It's a very...

I stayed here a few months back and it was a great place to chill before hitting the madness of Cairns. The two Managers were excellent, always very friendly and always extremely helpful, they even sorted out a messed up booking for me when going white water rafting. The hostel was really clean and they have a really cool tv room...

They are really making a tremendous effort at this hostel to do things right and I cannot really fault the place at all. Mission beach itself does not have a lot to it, but socially the hostel is spot-on and they organise a shuttle to the main town centre every day. Apart from that, the location is good as it...

Mission beach itself is a great little town and a lovely stopover point either travelling from or to Cairns. Absolute backpackers is situated about a 5-10 min walk to the beach and there's a big supermarket just across the road. The staff were particularly helpful and friendly, the facilities were fantastic and very clean. I didn't use the pool but...
