The campgrounds are very clean and perfectly maintained but the campgrounds lacks in customer service. We are not picky campers but you definitely dont feel welcome from the time you arrive. Even though the grounds are perfect its not welcoming especially if you have children. Id give up the perfectly maintained grounds for a relaxed family atmosphere any day.

We stayed here for 2 nights on our way to Durango. The park is clean, well kept and has lots for the kids to do. Very close to the Royal Gorge for a days adventure. There was a fire ban while we were there but there was a fire pit in our site. They also had community grills you could...

Nice and clean park. Semi level pads. All gravel park.. Dog runs were clean. Pool was not heated. No restaurant on property. Many activities for kids to do. You had to pay extra for a campsite with a fire pit.. Good park for just a couple of days..

We were a bit worried about going here when we read some of the reviews, but we were very glad we did. We called Todd a couple of days before our reservation and asked if he could recommend anyone there we could call for air conditioner problems. He was very accommodating and gave me two names. The one we reached...

My husband and I stopped by to camp on our way to Pueblo. We arrived at 8:30PM and the office was closed. They didn't have an after hours pay area so we decided to pitch the tent and figure it out after that. As we were setting up the tent, a golf cart came over. I thought great, we can...

We stayed at this campground for almost 3 months. Loved the views, walking trails, cleanliness of the park and the sites. Todd is a perfectionist and it shows in the way he manages his campground. We have been to many campgrounds and resorts in our 2 years of travels throughout the country. Believe me you appreciate campgrounds that enforce rules....

Very beautiful place and very clean, but I will never go back there. It started with the first day when I was at the office trying to get some coffee for my wife and daughter. When I walked in the owner was talking to one of his employees at the cash register. They did not even acknowledge my presence. Once...

Rude owner!!!! The place is clean and well maintained but the owner has no social skills!!! The owner, Todd, seems mad at the world. Upon my arrival on Thursday, September 17th, I mentioned that Canon City was so quiet now that most of the rafting companies are closed. He mumbled something. I thought it was that he was sad about...

The reviewers on this site are sadly misunderstanding Toad. You see Toad is a very strict overseer of the camp. This means you get no riff raff and believe me this town is full of riff raff living in the campgrounds. Toad keeps the grounds clean and takes his job very seriously, and keeps the campers in line. I would...

We visited ALL the campsites in the area before settling in at Royal View. Some of the local places are wacky or scary or only cater to RVs. When we drove in we could immediately tell that this was a clean, professional & we'll run facility. Our tent camp site just above the facilities was absolutely amazing. We had views...
