The hubby and I shared the cabin with life long friends for four nights and we all agree it was really comfortable. There is a wonderful deck that overlooks the Arkansas River and distant views of mountains. I enjoyed seeing RedTailed Hawks sitting on boulders and in mid August we did have a coupe of hummingbirds hanging out. Deer casually... More

We stayed for 2 nights in July and wished it were for more! Jack and Joan were excellent hosts who were attentive to our every request. Our room on the 2nd floor was quiet, spacious, had a sleeping loft and a fan which was perfect for our teen-aged son. Like others, we slept with the windows and skylight open and... More

We had an unbelievable 4 days at this amazing B&B. The hosts, Joyce and Jack, treated us like family. The lodge itself was immaculate and well equipped, situated on the Arkansas between 2 beautiful mountain views. There are so many areas to enjoy, both indoor and out. We had everything we needed for a wonderful stay very close at hand.... More

What a great place. Being able to sleep to the calming sounds of water was great but adding a couple nice fishing holes out the back door made it even better.. Joyce and Jack were FANTASTIC. Gave us everything we needed. We're looking forward to next year.

We loved being on the river. It was a bit awkward having our room access a shared balcony, but overall very nice. They accommodated an early breakfast request due to a morning rafting trip, much appreciated.

People often talk about 'unique selling points,' and this amazing B&B has several. Firstly, it is situated right on the banks of the Arkansas river, and it is wonderful to drift off to sleep at night listening to the flowing water (or watch the waters from the deck or balcony). Secondly, the rooms are spacious and beautifully appointed. Thirdly, the... More

Liars Lodge is an exceptional B&B that lies at the base of some of the most majestic mountains in Colorado! Carl and Connie are the ultimate 'hosts', and their meals are simple and delicious! I've been going here every year for about 9 years for a Womens quilt and knit retreat! Its beyond lovely and comfortable!

Private, river front lodge with friendly staff, great breakfast, and creative log decor. Decks looking at the river would be great in the warmer months, but we were there in February and it was very windy. The other side of the lodge looks up at the Collegiate Peaks - beautiful snow topped peaks while we were there. Plenty of parking.... More

Carl and Connie Bauer are the owners and operators of Liars' Lodge B&B. They are very friendly and helpful and make an awesome breakfast too! The rooms are cozy and the deck faces the Arkansas River. All of the rooms have river or mountain views; just perfect.

Stayed at their cabin (adjacent to B&B) for eight nights. Great cabin for 2 couples. Look down on river from 50' above. Deer in front yard. Cable TV, but wifi was off and on. Close to BV and central location on river. Recommend trip across pass to Aspen.

With 23 pinion covered acres, you're less than a mile from town, but you'll think you're miles from nowhere.
