Travelling the Oodnatta track on a fat bike (Push bike with big tires).Arrived at William Creek on one of the few hot days in Oct 2016. The owner and his staff, Trevor Wright, could not have been more accomodating to a thirsty and over heated cyclist. Much appreciated. They set me up in an air conditioned room and made sure...

We stayed one night at the beginning of November. Great atmosphere at the pub and surprised to see other people there considering the time of year... Cold beer (YES!) and good food. Clean accommodation - but I suggest if you want to pop in for a beer FLY IN. It is a seriously long way from anywhere!

Felt we had to stay at this iconic Outback pub but glad we only had one night and were 5 in our group. The dinner & big breakfast were lovely. BUT the accommodation & staff were mixed. On arrival around 5pm some staff were sitting outside, loud, and clearly having had a few too many beers, which gave the place...

A couple of mates and myself had the pleasure of experiencing outback hospitality at the William Creek Hotel. We flew in on a mates plane and were welcomed by the owner Trevor Wright (who also has a great scenic tour flight business). The pub was classic outback. Tourists can write their names on the pub walls, and the dining area...

This hotel is very much the center of this small town, with less than 20 inhabitants. We chose the Camel Hut, a separate house with two bedrooms, primarily because of its own internet connection. This was a good coice, and quite luxurious! We enjoyed it thoroughly. The food is. The hotel is very good.

William Creek pub is a very famous spot around the outback but if you don't need anything, you might as well keep driving to your next location. Many people come here to experience an outback pub, however what they get is an unfriendly place with the sole purpose of getting the customers fly around Lake Eyre! There are better outback...
