We booked at 7.30 pm on a Friday and arrived late after 9pm, didn't know what to expect and when we walked into the cabin -pet friendly instant calming effect.

Cabin is self contained, coffee captual machine available and twining tea, fridge had sweet treats complementary as we did to go to Woolworths 5 mins away to pick up what you need as you won't want to leave. Once you enter the cabin
The deck is so big hot and it's enclosed.with fly screen so no need to worry about mozzies. Our furbaby loved the deck with smells and the rustle on the trees, he slept in the deck.

It was that beautiful, I feel so relaxed as am writing this can't wait to return to this beautiful place.

Note: all dogs must be on a lead when outside the cabin.

We were a group of 4 and had our high tea on the enclosed balcony with views over the bush land. We started at noon and had two hours to enjoy the savoury and sweet delights. We had a plate of food each so there was no having to cut things in half. The fruit punch was delicious and any tea you could want was on offer. Overall it was a lovely experience with Sue making sure we had everything we needed. We didn’t need to eat for the rest of the day!

Our experiences with Mt Cotton Retreat, and the lovely Sue, were positive from our first contact. My fiance (now hubby) had already booked our wedding night there, and Sue was so flexible in showing us potential options for having our wedding and/or reception dinner at the Retreat as well. We decided to stay with our chosen park location for the ceremony, but Sue did a beautiful job of catering for our intimate wedding 'reception' for four. I highly recommend the Moroccan menu options, and the Portuguese tarts are TDF :) Our room was beautiful - king size bed, huge shower and so spacious , clean and tastefully furnished. Looking into the tree tops from our bed on our first morning as a married couple, and during our delicious Continental breakfast, was romantic and magical. Sue is the consummate hostess and very professional. Communication was clear and easy from start to finish. You won't regret your stay! ~ Warren and Kathy x

Our two night stay in a pet-friendly tree-top cabin was tranquility personified. A lovely host offering very well appointed accommodation in a superb forest location. Particularly liked the rear balcony lounge area with its 180 degree view of the bushland. Several interesting walks nearby as well as a range of mountain bike tracks for the more adventurous. We self-catered so didn't experience dining in the main building, but with complimentary port and chocolates there was no need really!

Very dated . Old furnishings .
Musty smell on arrival
Two of us needed to take telecast as the dust provoked our allergies
Very noisey at night as we could hear people walking around above our room
Looking forward to a good sleep when I return home
Poor value for the money
I wouldn’t stay here again
Luxury escapes have cheaper deals of a much higher quality

The only regret we had from visiting here was that it was only one night. The owner Sue couldn’t have been more welcoming.
We had a suite in the main building which was up in the canopy of the trees, it treated us to some wonderful views, with some beautiful bird sightings. We did not want to leave.

Dated room, musty smell, beds were grossly uncomfortable (even by hotel standards). Water was rain or bore, but not filtered or treated in any way, leading to brown and off tasting water.

The only sink in the entire room was the sink for the bathroom.

For the price point, nearly $330 per night, I would have expected much more than we received.

Will not be returning.

We stayed in one of the pavilions for a few weeks after arriving in Queensland from the UK before finding somewhere permanent to live.
We had such a peaceful and restful time and Sue, the owner, was so helpful and kind during our stay.
Our pavilion was beautifully furnished and it was lovely to sit on the veranda overlooking the bush. Plenty of wildlife!
We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this wonderful place.

A beautiful location in the bush but close to everything. Sue is a very friendly host and couldn't do enough for our overnight stay. An excellent breakfast spread made it all worthwhile. Also we went to see Elton John at Sirromet Winery on the greens.

Train to Cleveland possibly a better option as Beenleigh in wrong direction. Hiring a car a much better option.
