My cottage was the perfect place to experience serenity while I did spirit work, energy work, meditation and prayer. I always looked forward to evening and a chat with Ron, Katy, Erik, or whoever else was around! This trip changed my life so much, I don't have any real words about it! Just picture someone who is buried alive with... More

Glad I decided to book the 6 nights that were available instead of the 2 nights as originally planned! I went to Colorado Spirit Personal Retreat to decompress after waiting far too long to take a break. I wasn't sure what I needed or expected to find but day by day the rhythm of the forest, the magic of the... More

Hi Susan! Thank you for your kind words. Regarding WIFI: We installed 8-Meg DSL / Modem right IN the Cottage to correct the problem I appreciate you mentioning it, and I still need to send you the photo of "Susans Footbridge". Wanted you to know - you may decide to "stay connected" next time. More

Whatever your intention is for coming to the cabin, i believe, it will be realized. It is a magical spot. Many many moments I would be sitting in the cabin, looking around saying "I want FOR NOTHING!" The bed is extremely comfortable and has it's own nook which was always soothing, relaxing and nurturing. The outside beauty of the property... More

There is not a morning I haven't woken up grateful for my stay in the Hobbit cabin at Colorado Spirit Retreat. I feel changed by my experience there. Gratitude is the heart's memory, and I just wanted to say thank you for that gift. Selfishly, I'm trying to figure out how to secretly build my own cabin on that magical... More

I booked a week's stay at this retreat and stayed for 2 months! It's exactly what the doctor ordered. The owner, Ron, is the first person I've met who could hold his own on any deep subject and even challenge my long-held beliefs. And he can build anything--his creations are so unique, he must've been a student of Rube Goldberg.... More

Started out on a 3+week introspective road trip west from northeast Alabama, stopping to visit some family in southern Arizona and some dear friends in southern California - but my ultimate destination was [and what turned out to be] this extraordinarily special, memorable and remarkable place called Colorado Spirit Retreat in the glorious Colorado Mountains. Nestled safely in the beautiful... More

What an intriguing place. A friend and I stayed in the Discovery cabin for two nights, and we loved the whole experience. Proprietor Ron is an interesting fellow, a former engineer who has built unique buildings, a tree house, an aerial water wheel, and other innovative things. Outside lights--housed in birdcages and sporting handmade shades--illuminate the property. The cabin was... More
