We've been going to Elk Point for going on 20 years now, we've never, ever been disappointed with how lovingly, and attentively Lark and JR take care of their property. Not only is Elk Point located in an incredibly beautiful place, but it's so very quaint and just a breath of fresh air in such a busy world. Lark and...

It all started off like the perfect trip. Lark was super helpful until we got there. We stayed in the Pine Springs cabin. Spiders everywhere, filthy conditions, and the dishwasher didn’t work. The water line was turned off! The cabin was cleaned before we got there??? We had to drive down to get an ironing board and dishwashing detergent (who’s...

A getaway from all the distractions in life! This little hidden treasure of cabins is a quiet little piece of heaven. You have the choice of a small 2 person to a large party cabin with all the necessities need. The family and I stayed in cabin 3 for three nights and we couldn't of have been more happy. We...

On our first vacation at Vallecito Lake last year, we started out at another location and found ourselves in accommodations that were too small for us. Then we discovered Elk Point Lodge and quickly moved there and thoroughly enjoyed the remainder of our vacation. We liked it so much that we came back this year for 10 days and plan...

My wife and I just spent three days at Elk Point Lodge and were very pleased. The cabin was well maintained and very clean. The setting was beautiful and quiet and we had a terrific view of Lake Vallecito. Lark and J.R., the owners, were engaging and went way out of their way to accommodate us. While this was essentially...

This was our 7th summer vacation at Elk Point Lodge! We love the place and feel it is our 2nd home! Highlights for us include horseback riding with Pete and Beth - two outstanding wranglers who know the horses and ensure we always have a safe and thoroughly enjoyable ride through the beautiful San Juan Forest! The owners, Lark and...

We really enjoyed our stay. The owner was very friendly. Cabin 4 was fun & comfortable. The lake was beautiful. It is a short 8 hour drive from Phoenix. There are some good restaurants close by or get groceries first & stock up your own kitchen.

Elk Point Lodge is the perfect place to enjoy some peace and quiet on Lake Vallecito! JR and Lark could not be more accommodating and will do everything they can to ensure that you enjoy your stay. Make sure you take advantage of the kayaks and canoe that are available to you at no charge and ask about the Vallecito...

My spouse and I stayed here as part of a family reunion. - Cabins are not updated/safe and need significant maintenance during stay - Grassy area is not graded or flat - Difficult for a wheelchair user or someone with limited mobility and none of the cabins are even close to ADA compliant. We were in Cabin 8. The first...

This is my fourth trip to the lake in the last 15 years. We always stay at the Elk Point Lodge. First let me state that there is no phone, TV, Wi-Fi or air conditioning at the cabin. Your cell phone reception is adequate and all of the aforementioned items are available at the lodge. (I am not sure about...
